Good question. Personally I think just as it has for thousands of years before society is evolving. Not sure where wokeism actually fits in but within the thoughts of everything evolving is an increasing williness to accept differences. Geographic areas and individuals full of hatred still exist as do the nice people and tolerant areas. I’m delighted to see within my lifetime that those who previously couldn’t care less whether I’m wearing a skirt or man trousers and believe in let live are still out there but now it’s OK for them to say that without fear of recrimination or chastisement. For example shopping in the uk with my wife or a female friend, me in male mode, i use the changing rooms ( avoid communal ones!) to try on femenine clothing and generally no one bats an eyelid after all a sales a sale and they were probably never bothered anyway but had to “maintain standards”
The only thing that concerns me is the excessive production of policies and guidance. We’re sinking under it, but that’s another wokey type debate I guess, which causes more than a bit of paranoia amongst good people who would never breach them be they formally written or not.
