Leggings or shorts and flip-flops.  For me, I have found that flip-flops are most likely not to cause damage to a fresh pedicure.   A few years ago I wore a skirt, and the nail tech placed a towel over my legs for modesty.  Once or twice during the pedi I had to keep it in place from slipping off, which was a good reminder for me to wear shorts or leggings in the future to my pedicure sessions.  I always go crossdressed.  It puts me in the right mood, especially at my regular nail salon where the decor is hyper-feminine.  I think it helps too in putting the other female customers at ease, as well as staff.
