For me, the difference between pantyhose and tights is sheer or opaque. Up to around 50 denier I consider sheer. Over 50 denier I consider opaque. Sheer pantyhose enhance and show off legs in a flattering way, kind of lie a makeup for legs.

Opaque tights cover legs. That includes hair imperfections, scarring, what ever. What’s better? Well, most of the time I wear sheer pantyhose, mostly a tan shade. But occasionally I might want to color coordinate and will wear opaque tights in various colors to enhance and improve my look.
