I dreamed about this
12 damn years have passed and now it’s poison
do I drink the poison
now I’m left here and I can’t wait do I still drink the poison
it’s like my body can’t even awake
drinks of poison do I drink the poison
about to die you can’t take away this life
drink the poison a new kind of poison

every void
til I can drop down there is no more poison

Great, Silvia. It is a very deep poem that moves to reflection.
The potency of the poison depends on our inner strength. The struggle is continuous and surrender is not a viable option. Even when everyone gives us for dead there will always be a hope while the heart beat. The poison is incapable of overcoming us if we do not allow it.
Keep writing poems, my dear. I love this Poet’s Corner. It is a wonderful space to express what the heart feels.
