I have been binging on lesbian movies lately. I found one that has a MTF transgender supporting character that is represented quite well. The character is portrayed in a positive way and I found myself relating to her a lot. She actually has quite a bit of the story devoted to her too. I don’t want to give any spoilers though. The movie is a Canadian flick called Better Than Chocolate. I don’t know it’s availability across all platforms but I watched it on Roku.

I have been binging lesbian movies as well. I will check this one out. If you get a chance try Blue is the Warmest Colour,  A French film with sub titles but so much of the movie is the main charater’s facial expressions. Adele is incredible.

I watched that several years ago. LOVED IT! It keeps popping up in the recommendations and I have considered watching it again.

I did see “Better than Chocolate”. It’s a bit quirky at times, but entertaining nonetheless. It’s available for rental on Amazon Prime, but I watched it years ago on a Netflix DVD.

I was really impressed by Peter Outerbridge’s role as “Judy”, and the movie is worth watching for that alone. “Judy” is a 24/7 crossdresser, apparently not interested in transitioning, and (s)he’s in love with the lesbian owner of a porn bookstore. That just so happens to be my fantasy, too! After numerous misadventures, the two wind up together (yea, happy ending for the CD!).

One scene was hard for me to take. In it, Judy gets smacked around in the ladies room at a bar by two “butch” lesbians, but is rescued by one of the main characters (Kim, herself a lesbian). Just goes to show, not all is kumbaya in the LBGTQ community. At least, not in this movie.

      Anyway, it was worth watching.

Yeah, the bathroom scene was harsh. But I loved that Judy was respectful enough not to knock the s**t out of her like he could have. She easily could have forced her way out of there too. Oh well. There were other more glaring issues with some parts of the film. But it was decent and, yes, worth watching for Judy.
