Usually I don’t do this, but was  dying to test the waters. So went grocery shopping at our local supermarket.  Got to say I’ve done this before but never locally. Funny thing I wasn’t scared. I got out of my vehicle and walked  in like any other shopper. No one even gave me a second look.  Went to the self check out And the associate there wished me a happy holiday,  And of course I responded in my best female voice,”you too”.   What an exhilarating experience. I can’t wait to do it again!!!

You go girl! Great pic, btw. I’m so happy for you! That’s what I want, what I think must of us want, to simply not be noticed much.

        Yes Bridgette,

I’ve gone to the outlets in the Poconos twice because I felt it would be safe. This time it was in my hometown. No one gave me a second look, even my encounter with the cashier went well. Thank God I have a passable feminine voice!!

Good for you. A forever memory. My limited experience being out is that most people don’t notice,  and those that do don’t  care.

Oooo…that is a gutsy move!  Like you, typically out at a distance from home.  Going to the everyday store at the corner is different.  I go to mine in drab about every other day.  Most of the people do recognize me.  Going en femme would definitely be a test.

      How exciting for you.
