      Hi Girls!!

I got another story to share with you!

This time I REALLY went out for the night!  Saturday Night to a known drag bar just outside of downtown Phoenix.  I posted pics before I went in case your interested.

It took me a little longer than normal to get ready.  In part because I had for the very first time shaved my arms and hands bare…because of my outfit. Wonderful feeling btw!  Also being I had never used a purse before, I had to check if I had everything like 5 or 6 times, and brought along waaay more than what I thought I would need.

So I finally get there…and of course that…OK here I go…deep breath…and get out of the car!!  Even kept my knees together like a lady!  I started walking up to the door at the same time another woman walked up. Despite the mask I could tell she had a big smile under there as she opened the door for me.  Went in and marched up to the bar. The girl at the bar greeted me with a “What cha need Honey?”  Ordered a pint and sat at the bar.

Not much happened at first.  A couple looks, a couple of “love your boots!” but not much else for a little while.  Then a kind of creepy troll guy getting a little too close to me and my purse as he was trying to get a drink.  Sooo…time to move and head out to the outdoor patio for a while.

A couple more hello’s and love the boots!  You could say the boots stole the show all night long!  Anyway I sit next to a bunch of ladies, where the youngest eyeballs me and asks she could sit next to me.  She said it was because I felt safe to be around. The creepy troll guy from inside was trying to hit on one of the other ladies.  Her name is Gaia and shes 25.  Her pack includes her Mom who just cam out as lesbian, her moms partner and 2 other trans girls.  We start talking and have a great conversation, she tells me Im “killing it” with the makeup and outfit and my whole appearance and get invited back inside to join the group. Everything was going great then…Uh-Oh…my bladder calls!! Really?? In guy mode I almost never have an issue,  now all of a sudden its urgent!  Thankfully Gaia escorted me when I asked her.  Not that I had to worry too much.  The bathroom was barely big enough for 2 stalls and a tiny sink…and there’s like 6 of us crammed in this tiny space. Not to mention…being its a drag bar…half the girls are standing up anyhow! LOL!!  I guess being a “lady” wasn’t quite required!! LOL!! I cant make this stuff up!!

Even had some great compliments from a couple of men too!  I was even inivted by Gaia and her pack to head to Dennys after the bar.  Sitting in Denny’s eating and having great conversation until waaay too late but it was all worth it.  Gaia even asked for my number so that when they come party at the bar again, they want me to join them.

I couldn’t have asked for a better first REAL outing that started off by myself and ended up making friends along the way.  Smiled all the way home.  Finally taking off my makeup at OMG! 4am!! but smiling because I had a fantastic time!

You could say the moral of the story is this – The only obstacles in our lives are the ones that WE ourselves tend to put in front of us.

I hope that soon I get to read someone else’s story out there and get to share a little bit of the amazing day or night that you get to have!

      XO – Robyn 🤗💋❤️

Hi Robyn that was a great story and sounded like you had a wonderful girly time made some friends and broke some ice in a good location .. I cant add to your post as a outing as i have never been out and theirs a possibility of hope as in 2022 Keystone  convention Stephanie and my wife both are supposed to go and Miss Flowers is helping us try to get it together as we have a little time to make it happen  and be my coming out party yippee .. so congrats to you for having a great time as hope i will some day ..

i have been going out for about 3 to 4 years now. i never go to the gay bars but go to normal bars. never had a problem with anyone. the people are always nice to me weather it be men or women. women alway come up to me to talk and get away from the creapy guys. they say they feel safe around me. they always try to shake my hand but i tell them i only do hugs and it works every time. i get alot of complements and give them too. women love getting complements. i always have fun going out dressed and everyone knows me by name now. bar owners always tell me they are glad to see me there.

Oh, my, Robyn….that was a wonderful experience, and thanks for posting it.  I couldn’t do that, ‘cuz I don’t drink; but I would love to had an outing such as you described.

      Hugs,

Now that is certainly a Saturday night….plus a Sunday wee small hours of a morning , absolutely brilliant to hear you had so much fun & have hopefully made some more friends 😊😊😊🔥🔥🔥

    • #412437

If there was a “love” option, I would click it. Sounds so awesome, and I would like to get to that point where I could make friends in the LGBTQ community. After COVID, I hope that my wife and I can find a place that’s chill like that. We are in Republican hell in east coast Florida, so nothing like that here. Glad you shared your great evening, thank you!

        IT was a blast!

I live in Arizona, and I lean right on a lot of things, yet liberal on other things…as you can tell.😁

So I know what you mean.  I certainly hope you can.

I just read your profile, Robyn. I lived in Austin as well, earlier this year I left there for Florida. I started transitioning there, and probably would be further along if I had stayed there, as there was a great clinic that helped me out and was so embracing of the LGBTQ people. I let things slide when I moved and haven’t reached out to any Orlando clinics yet.

Fabulous, Robyn! Simply fabulous! This is the kind of first real night out one just dreams of. I’m so happy for you and thank you for telling us so many details so we can live vicariously through you.

        Grace

How fast?  It feels like ludicrous speed from Spaceballs!! LOL!

Your right!  Its only been a little more than a month!  I consider myself a good example of what happens when you come to CDH and experience such a supportive place with great Girls, you included Grace.   The Sister-hood I’ve experienced here has been amazing!

Hugs and love for everyone!! 🤗❤️

Im always careful but thank you…Always Be safe definitely!

Cant help you with the imagery, but at least it was PG-13, it could’ve been worse! LOL!!

Just loved reading your story Robyn. Sounds like you had a perfect night out, looks like you may be heading out again next Saturday by the sounds of it. Stories like yours are highly inspirational to people like me that haven’t been out yet. I’ve thought about my first night and decided it also would be at a drag bar, when I think about it more closely I realize that I should expect to have a good time as well. People at drag bars, with the exception of troll-like creatures previously mentioned, are friendly, energetic,  and highly motivated to party and have fun, much more so than a vanilla bar. Looking forward to reading about your next adventure Robyn, wont be long I’m sure.

Thank you!  I love that I can inspire others.

        Your right…It wont be long!!

A little planning and being safe will go a long way to having a great time too!

        Robyn ❤️

Robyn, I am overjoyed at your massive success. My insides are churning just thinking of how you must have felt before it all came together.

      HI Robyn,

What a fantastic fun story for your first time out.

      That was incredible.

      Good for you.

Thank you so much for sharing such a fun evening.

      I love it.

You look great, Robyn and had a really fun time and were accepted. Do you do anything to change your voice? That for me is the most difficult part. Marlene.

      • #412720

        Marlene

        Thank you!! 😁🤗

I don’t do anything to change my voice except to actually speak a little louder, slower and more clear.  My voice isn’t something I can really feminize, so I’m not concerned about it at this time.

Omg I can feel your thrill and excitement. I’m really happy that’s your first time going out in public was fun and friendly. First step is always the hardest. I applaud your inspirational courage.
I live in Tucson and I wish there were more LGBTQ friendly bars here. I wish one day I have the real courage to go out in public and meet new friends and sisters.

        Thank you!

Thats why I enjoy sharing with others.  It can be done, drawing on the support of your fellow sisters makes a difference.

That was AWESOME! I’m so happy for you to have jumped out there, and thrilled that it was such an enormous success. My wife and I are planning a jaunt out to a local bar/pub in January, which is really our next opportunity for Bridgette to be out even at home for more that a brief appearance. You know I’ll let you all know how that goes. YOU GO GIRL!

      • #412765

        Thank you Bridgette!!

        OMG!  You better!! LOL! 😁

I’ll make sure to throw a little extra good karma out there for ya to have a great time!

        Hugs – Robyn 🤗❤️

Oh Honey! What an amazing story and time! I am so so thrilled for you!!! Thank you for sharing it with us. You are so right about roadblocks. We put them up all the time out of fear. But letting them fall is the only to be free.
      Hugs to you dear!

      Preach Girl!!!

Time to get out & enjoy life!  NOTHING is as affirming and exciting as your first nice, long trip out into the world – living authentically!

Who cares if you get “clocked”?  Go ahead and use your normal voice if you are not comfortable with using a girl voice.  The majority of the world would MUCH rather interact with you en femme, knowing you are a crossdresser than interacting with the other 98% of normal, drab, mundane people they normally deal with.

YOU are the unicorn!!  Flaunt it and own it!!

SOOOOO happy for you, Robyn.  Couldn’t have happened to a sweeter gal!!

      Smooches!

Couldn’t agree more!  Life is short!! LIVE IT!   I used my real voice!  I wasn’t going to sound fake.

        Awww…Thank You!!

      Oh Definitely!!

Thank you Sam!  That is always worth mentioning…be safe!  That military experience is essential.  I watch everything and everyone!  Yep, there’s trolls no matter where you go.
