Last night, I kind of “let go” a little.
I had gone inside to the convenience store to grab a drink after pumping gas. Anyways, what normally happens is if there are a few men leaving the store, they’ll wait outside for me to try their luck.
I’m used to that, and doesn’t bother me at all even from a “safety” standpoint as my guy self is pretty much a mini-bruce-lee and I’ve scrapped with dudes quite a bit in my younger self.
But this time, the kid behind the counter asked if he could walk me out (so that the guys won’t bother me outside). Even with my head telling me, shoot, if one of those guys outside is the weird jealous types, I’m the one who might have to protect this kid from getting his ass kicked LOL… Anyhow, for some reason, I agreed to let him walk me to my car.
Of course, he was just being sweet, doing what guys do when they’re interested, but he was so nervous talking to me that I figured letting him walk me to my car might make his evening better.
So, there I was, letting this boy (who was probably 20 years my junior), proudly feeling like a man, walking this woman to her car. Boy did he smile after I gave him a hug for being so gracious (still didn’t give him my number though as I’m not interested in that).
I jumped in my car, thought about it, and it actually made me feel more feminine. It may have been small, but meant a lot, to let my self go that tiny little bit.

20 years younger than you! Since when have they let ten year olds work in gas stations. Still a lovely gesture and his mom would have been proud of him…….

It was a little weird with the hug and him whispering in my ear how pretty I was. I admit, that kind of felt a little strange to me as that’s reserved, ya know, for like… what I do to my partner all the time when I wanna get them all flirty and romantic. Hahahahaha. So, it was cute, just… different for me I guess.

Carmen, over here in the UK I’ve never seen a women being hassled by men at the petrol station, is this a regular occurrence of just certain stations. Either way not good at all.
Really? That’s crazy! I see men flirt with women pretty much every where I go around here, everywhere! Petrol stations, grocery stores, malls, casinos, churches, schools, coffee shops, everywhere! That doesn’t happen in the UK?
Men around here are always fishing for women. It’s definitely a common occurrence, not just with me, but with nearly every woman I know!
