Ladies..
Its bothered me before, I did some research but didn’t make any changes. Then after buying a few new clothing items this weekend it got me again! Like most of us, I’m curves challenged, straight up and down with NO noticeable hips. Even in my attractive new clothes my mirror laughed at me.
Now as I said, I’d already looked into the commercial padding but being of Scottish ancestry it tends to make me a tad frugal lol. Many of the available items are $100 and up and I have quite a few items higher on my wish list.
I saw a couple DIY videos on youtube, I shrugged my shoulders, why not?, and off I went to the fabric store. The foam cost me $3.
I’ve spent the better part of this afternoon with scissors in hand attempting to create those elusive curves. When they warn you during the video that it makes quite a mess, they are NOT kidding.
It took more than a few trimmings and trial fitttings, under leggings as suggested to keep them in place, but overall I’m pretty satisfied with how it appears to me in the mirror and photos. I’ll look to get some more subjective opinions over the next couple days. I’ll post an update for those on a budget who might want to give it a go.

Hi Olivia,
I thought I had some hips but lately I think I could use a little help in this department.
How did your pads turn Out?
I’m curious to see what your subjective opinions reveal.
thanks for the post sweety

Hey Patty
Only two opinions so far, one thought they were a little too much. A little trimming can fix that. The other gg remarked that it was far better than the straight lines without them.

2 things:
As an alternative to leggings, most of the recommendations I’ve seen suggest pantyhose. I assume this is due to desiring a tighter squeeze.
$100 seems a bit high. I have the “Padded Rear and Hips Shaping Girdle” from Glamour Boutique. When I bought it the price was $45, but I see it is now up to $50…

Hi DeeAnn
I’m a stockings girl and dislike pantyhose so I opted for the leggings.
There are some up over $200

I’d love to see how those worked out. I’m in pretty good shape based on my curvy butt (high school nickname was “Sweet Cheeks”) but alas, have no hips which is a real giveaway. Will you post a picture of the finished result?

Thanks for the info, Olivia. I have a couple of sets of padded panties, and they help, and have had compliments on my (fake) bum, but still feel like my hips are too narrow, I’m like you, with totally straight hips.
I said this to a CD friend a while ago, I feel about my hips the way some feel about their boobs!
I might give your method a try.

There is a brand of adhesive (not Hollister’s but I can’t remember offhand) that comes in a dispenser like roll-on deodorant. That might also help to maintain the position under the leggings…
