      Hi ladies,

I need some advice on hair removal.  My wife loves my chest hair and would be very opposed to removing it, although I would love it and will experiment with that at some point.  However, she kind of understands my desire to remove the hair on my back and she was actually ok with it when I shaved my legs a year ago.  So I’m wondering about other CDs’ experience with the various methods of hair removal. I don’t have unlimited money, but would certainly be open to spending a few hundred bucks on either getting pro laser hair removal from a salon, or purchasing an IPL from Amazon.  I see those doodads seem to be in either the $100 range or the $300 range.  That’s ok as long as it actually worked.  I would also entertain the idea of waxing if I’m told it is worthwhile.  So again, what’s the suggestion for getting rid of hair on the back, legs, maybe arms, and possibly even chest?  And this would be for someone who could be Chewbacca’s relative.

      Thanks!

My wife loves my chest hair too. I’ve been getting a Brazilian wax for about the last 6 years, added the legs about 2 years ago. My last 2 visits I had my back and shoulders done too. I am pleased with the results. I enjoy the girl talk with my aesthetician while she works on me too.

Catherine, my wife feels the same way.  I have gotten my legs waxed.  I like it but it can get expensive.  I use a 5 blade razor hand gel.  It does the job.

I’ve removed all of my body hair, shave everyday.  Not a very hairy to begin with, but still is difficult.

Wife can’t stand it.  Hasn’t touched me for more than 2 years now.

Hi Catherine nice to meet you  sorry about your wifes reluctance to go hairless .. but not 100% sure but i have heard more the waxing is a better option but a good shave works to keep you smooth as my wife is so supportive of Stephanie she keeps up with my he he backside  and she has never said anything about everywhere else i keep chest legs and arms  smooth most of the time .. except close to summer arms have to grow a bit to please her but thats ok trade for rest of the time my legs dont grow much at all any more just silly knee caps a bit but hardly ever shave legs anymore  good luck sweety ..

I’ve been looking at the IPLs on Amazon too. Don’t know if they work .

The IPL from the stores is not for Sasquatch hair. The power isn’t enough to have a real lasting effect. If they are dark hairs, gray hairs do not work,  then it would be a professional needed and an immunity to shock treatment. Even then it cannot be guaranteed to stop the hair growth. Electrolysis is the only way and is a long and expensive process. Waxing is good for the short term. All of the above tests the pain threshold.

Shaving is the most economical and if you have tough hairs you could file the nails before shaving again….

I used nair for a while and results were good but a lot of ingrown hairs. Now I shave with a lady’s 5 blade and use therapeutic shaving gel to calm down the ingrown hairs. I’m very hairy with thick hair. Female friend does my back. Waxing can be expensive and laser is my focus but have to wait because it’s in the 1000’s of dollars.
