First, I need to thank this amazing group of girls here. If this helps even one more of us come out to our wife/partner etc. I will feel even more on top of the world.
My wife’s best friends are a married lesbian couple. They suggested a show on HBO called we’re here. For those of us not familiar with it; it is a traveling group of drag queens that put on a show in different towns. The show is about changing the lives of those they meet.
After a few episodes I got up the nerve to ask my wife to go to the “winter is a drag ball” in Burlington Vermont. To my surprise she is excited to go.this Saturday night my wife was out with a friend and I told her I was going to practice my make up. She told me to have fun! Then I asked if she wanted to see a picture while she was out… She said yes and then replied I looked GREAT!!!
SHE THEN CAME HOME TO ME FOR THE FIRST TIME WHEN I WAS FULLY DRESSED. CORSET, MINISKIRT, FISHNETS, HEELS, FORMS ETC…
And wait it gets better….
She then helped me with my make up while I was dressed.
What an amazing experience and future from a simple suggestion from a TV show.

Thank you for all the lovely comments from our amazing group. I was worried as many of you mentioned if this would be a one time drag ball event or would my wife be supportive. A quick backstory here first. My wife is amazing at shopping for clothes and then donating to goodwill. So we always have a goodwill bag going. The night I practiced my make up I wore a tank top of hers from the goodwill bag. When I got home from work on Saturday my wife had done a load of laundry for me. Folded up with all of my boi clothes was her tank top for me!!!! If that isn’t acceptance without me having to ask I don’t know what is.

You must feel on top of the world right now. How exciting for you!!
May I ask? Is your wife bisexual by chance? Have you ever discussed with her before about being with another girl?
I have found that a lot of women have at least a curiosity of being with another woman but may never act on it. My wife being one of them. When they discover that the man in their life likes to crossdress they are much more open to at least having fun with it in the bedroom.
My wife has never had a problem with me sleeping in or having sex in lingerie. She only once went out with me when I was fully dressed but she has never had a problem with me feminizing myself. I’m allowed to wear feminine undergarments daily and dress up whenever I feel the desire. She also will give me the time and space to fully feminize myself and go to crossdressing events.

However, I disagree that you are a “lucky” girl…
I’d rather say you are a “blessed” girl.
And you are a blessed girl because you were being your authentic self, and also because your wife, the woman you choose to love and marry, has compassion, tolerance, a sense of adventure, and all the other values that has allowed her to be “open” to your CD, so far.Remember, this is all new to her, so be a good listener to her thoughts or concerns, and do not rush things, as much as you may want to, as already you are in a position that many here can only dream of.

that is amazing and like me you are one of the lucky ones. It takes so much pressure off your relationship when you are honest and tell your SO. No more hiding and so much more trust between you both as it is a big thing to admit to, especially if it’s a long relationship like mine of 30 years.

it’s a very hard thing to do and it’s different for everyone, the only advice is, if you do, go very gently and be very patient. You will get a lot of questions and some of the questions you may not like but remember if they have no idea it’s a big thing for them to accept. When I look back I made light of the CD to my SO when I started to introduce her to Sally. It made the process much easier. I also went over the top with hugs, kissing and affection to show her how much I love her. Something we have kept going, so that’s a bonus.
