Recently I said to a dear female friend of my desire. She has been supportive and encouraged me. I recently reunited with a young lady who is now in her 50’s. She still affectionately calls the nickname I was given because of my surname. She asked me if I was quiet happy with that. I said yes. She’s works in our Health service and is involved in a trade union.
I thought I would test the water and gradually told her, I wanted to be totally open and honest with me. She was very relaxed and is going to buy me tights etc. of course I’ll pay for anything she gets me.
She said I knew as a young girl, you’re still the person I remember you by. She said I’m certainly no angel myself and not going to judge you. Because of her medical condition she can’t wear high heels and where clothes is concerned she’s fairly easy going. Of course I still have to be careful regarding the wife, but I’ve this site and now these two women who accept me as human being warts and all.Lis

You’re right to come out slowly and judiciously, but I think it’s important to consider the question why you chose to trust these ladies and not your wife.
I’m not trying to be awkward, but if I were her, that would be an important question to me.
It’s not something to worry about, just something to devote some time thinking about so your explanation is rock solid when the time comes.
It sounds as if you’re on the journey, and telling the wife is just a matter of time.
Be like a boy scout (or girl guide!).
Be prepared :0)
It’s wonderful that you have support from these lovely friends.
Merry Christmas and a boundary pushing new year.
Love Laura

Elizabeth, thank you for sharing, I love these stories that prove that it is not all doom and gloom out there. There are supportive people who just want us to be happy being ourselves. Well done! 🙂
