Hiya, has anyone used any of the dressing services in south of England. I really want to try one of them for advice and help on makeup and dressing. They sound such a good idea but very expensive
thanks

Hi girls,
A great question Clare. I live in NI, where sadly there are none and the closet one is in Dublin. As I don’t drive, by the time I’d travel the 130 miles approximately, stay overnight and account for cost of paying in euro, it would be as cheap, if not cheaper for me to go to one of the dressing services in England.
I haven’t used any of them yet. Was planning to go in July, but that got threw out the window with COVID. I would suggest you take a look at their websites, and phone them prior to going to check any quesries you have.
Would love to hear how you get on, as you’ll likely make it before I do.
Hugs,
Isabel

Sophie’s Dressing Service in Bath is wonderful.
Google the above for more info. I went there twice back in the 90’s and had a lovely time. The fact Juliette is still going strong is a testament to her and her business.

Haven’t used any crossdressing services yet, but thinking of going sometime next year. The one I am looking at is in London called boys will be girls. Seen a few reviews that highly recommend them, so thinking of giving them a go.
They also do escorted days out dressed up, either shopping or going to a tv/cd friendly club.
So I am thinking of doing that around June / July next year, fingers crossed.

There’s one called Femesque in Surrey that looks nice and relaxed to me

There’s one in Brighton called Trans life which does the dressing experience and takes you out shopping as well.
Before I went solo to Brighton I was tempted to try their services, but got caught up in the excitement of doing it all myself – and besides, it’s a service for men.
It’s a personal thing, but anything aimed at men makes me feel like it doesn’t include me.
But please post your experience, whichever one you go for – the luxury of having a professional transform you is really exciting.

Never really thought of Brighton, although just thought of it as the place where gay people go. Is it very accepting of cds without thinking they are gay.

Brighton is wonderfully accepting of everyone, in my limited experience.Every place I’ve been to, from regular to eccentric shops, coffee bars, restaurants and bars (The gay bars, at least) have proven to be really friendly. and welcoming.
I ‘ve had nothing but a great time, and met some really lovely people who I’m proud to call friends, some of them cross dressers, some gay, some trans, some drag, and even some cis!
