      Hi

I’ve never dressed for a delivery. I don’t have the nerve to try it. The only time I tend to dress up in public is when I’m doing a long drive. I will get out of my car in unlit lay-bys and risk other drivers seeing me as they go by.

However last night a vehicle pulled in behind me, luckily I was sat in my car. I was wearing a lovely pink satin dress at the time. The vehicle only stayed a minute and left.

I wish I had the nerve of most of those that have replied xx

As a Letter carrier (mail man) I have seen both ends. Over the last year I dress inside my house all the time and away most of the time. A few months back I answered the door to see the mother of my daughter’s best friend delivering girl scout cookies. I was dressed in full Cassie mode.
On my deliveries one collage girls answered her door twice wrapped in nothing but a towel.
One middle aged man answered his door with no shirt and a nipple ring. The worst was a nearly 60 year old man who wears a dress all around town, he also has a full beard. One day saw him sitting in front of his apartment building with his legs spread apart. I found out he does not wear underwear. I saw much more than than I wanted and have a picture burned in my brain I will never get rid of.

      . Cassie

This something I have never done.

To me I would do it either alone or with my SO support or as a dare or something if it was planned (eg knowing I ordered pizza while dressed). I have answered the door in male mode with lipstick on to a neighbour (him being a big church going guy). Nothing was said ever.

if I was having a dress up time I have x always said to myself I would just get over it and answer the door of the situation arose but it never has happened yet. Not sure if I’d panic first though

Huh, never done it before but that’s an interesting thought.  I’ve worked pizza delivery, and I know delivery workers see and hear all kinds of weird stuff… a 6’00” and 250 pound lady in a nice dress (who’s a guy most of the time, but they probably wouldn’t guess that from a phone call and a 2 minute interaction) probably wouldn’t even make the top 10.

Might be a good way to check for weird reactions from strangers that you’re unlikely to see again, like see how “passable” you are to someone who you just meet in passing as a gauge of how likely someone is to notice if you go out in public.

Maybe if I’m ever dressed up while staying in a motel room or something and feel like ordering a pizza… 😂😂

As a former pizza delivery driver, I’d say just go for it. It’s a stressful, dangerous job that doesn’t pay well (outside of tips), so its the perfect testing ground for an interaction with a stranger because they are likely already thinking about their next delivery, or how busy the store is, or just any other number of things… so they may not even form an opinion of you other than “customer.” You’ll never get hate from a delivery driver.. unless maybe you don’t tip lol

I had a wine delivery which needed to be signed for that I forgot about. I just signed and that was it…no big deal. So, not planned, but it happened anyway.

There is a list of “ten things to do while crossdressed” that I post here some time ago. One was to order food and have it delivered and it is the only thing I have not ticked off the list. This came close, but not quite the same thing.

Mel I have not done so but I have thought about doing it many times. Come to think of it I said the same thing about crossdressing many years ago. I guess that means I’ll be dressing for the delivery person sometime- it’s inevitable for me 🙂

Technically, no, I haven’t done that. I don’t have food delivered, and other deliveries are usually left outside, either in the mailbox or at the door.

If I have a workman coming over and I want to dress en femme, I might put on a pair of leggings and one of my from-the-woman’s-department-but-looking-almost-unisex tee shirts. I tend to wear these type of tees fairly often anyway.

If I’m already dressed, I sometimes order food from local restaurants in Alison’s name and pick it up en femme. So it is sort of like the scenario, except the “delivery” is directly from the store. Usually I get no reaction.

Last weekend I got dressed up to take a walk, but my daughter needed to go to the mall for some items so I went with her en femme. One stop we made was in Torrid. She didn’t find what she was looking for, but I found some earrings I liked. Having just had my ears pierced a few months ago, it was one of my first times wearing costume jewelry (without clip-on converters).

I got to the checkout and they asked me if I had an account (for generating points that lead to a discount). So I gave them my phone number, and it comes back with my male name. They say my male name as a question (as in “is this the right account”) and I tell them yes. No reaction, they just ask me to confirm my email address and complete the transaction.

      Hi girls,

I’m a full time girl, living and passing as a woman. I live in a condo and often order pizza from a great place that does their own deliveries. So when they ring our door bell I go to collect my pizza wearing whatever I changed into after getting home from work, usually jeans, leggings or palazzo pants and a t-shirt.  I’m always fully made up as the face doesn’t come off until getting ready for bed.

      Hugs,

      Ms. Lauren M

I often wear a short summer dress at home all day long instead of a Tee and shorts. They are so comfortable. No wig or makeup. Two weeks ago, I was served legal papers for which I had to sign. I was wearing a Tee shirt dress and didn’t feel like doing a quick change and so I just answered the door as is. Truthfully, the man didn’t care at all. We stood and talked for 20 minutes in my driveway, in public view for anyone walking or driving by to see a guy in a dress.

I’m at the point of just not caring about what other people think about me.

Another aspect is, if you can make someone feel uncomfortable, it puts you at an advantage to control the situation.

During a ” home alone ” period I was entertaining a CDH friend for the evening and ordered a Chinese takeaway for us. Whilst waiting for the food to arrive I got changed for bed and when the takeaway delivery arrived I answered the door in shortie satin nightie with matching kimono satin robe over with bra, false boobs, panties, and wig.
Delivery man didn’t seem to show any reaction.

Hi Melanie, I have a long housecoat that covers everything which I quickly put on for delivery people. I therefore took the no option. It has however parted on a couple of occasions, revealing my dress underneath,  although I did not realise this had happened until after the event!

I just answer the door in whatever I happen to be wearing for the day. It may be a dress, jeans, panties/bra, or even nude! Sometimes I get a surprised look, but delivery persons are always in a hurry and thinking about their next stop.

I once answered the door to a young pizza delivery guy whilst wearing tights underneath.I was in the middle of a crossdressing session but I took off my skirt, top and heels whilst waiting for the pizzas and put my male clothes back on.He was only a young lad of about eighteen or so and was very friendly and chatty. Not sure if he would have been as  friendly if I answered the door dressed en femme.

I picked the last one as I’ve never dressed just for a delivery but have been dressed when I’ve ordered food and went to door to except it while dressed femme.

I often open the door to the delivery person whilst dressed. They never comment…. Well, I say never…

One guy came to the door a year or so ago. I was in Rock chick mode, so blqck denim mini skirt, black band T-shirt, white pumps, necklace, earrings, watch and bracelet. Hair down, tits in.

The man took one look at me and said “Man, you is rocking that look!”. I thanked him and he said “It’s not for me, but rock on dude!”
I was smiling for days afterwards 🙂

The first person besides my wife that saw me en femme was an hvac repairmen. I was dressed in my Sunday best when he rang the doorbell. I had mixed up his arrival time. A few awkward moments then we went about our business as normal. So I decided from then on anyone who rang my doorbell got me as is. Next step was to greet delivery workers en femme, then church recruiters, and eventually a neighbor. Likewise after ‘awkward’ we went about our business as normal. These experiences gave me the courage to go out in public. My experience has been that most people don’t notice, and those who do don’t care.

I have had fun with Church recruiters while wearing feminine attire.  I love enaging them in conversation, debating scriptures, especially when the church to which they belong is clearly unapproving.  A neighbor once comment how he had a chuckle watching two ladies chatting with me for nearly 10 minutes who were clearly uncomfortable and looking for any excuse to leave my property.

I’ve never greeted a delivery person that way, however, if I wasnt married and lived alone, I surely would try it.  I dont mind doing it in front of total strangers, but as much as I love embarrassment, I dont know if I want people I know, or relatives to see me like that.  For instance, I have gone into stores a good distance away from where I live and I’ve worn lipstick and eye shadow and a bra you see could see under my shirt.  So it was obvious I was a man, but to the people who saw me, I dont know what they said to each other after I left, but while I was there, I felt as comfortable and normal as I could be.  Kudos to people who work in stores.

My delivery people never come in the house. I am talking here of the likes of the Postie, UPS, FEDEX etc. who just dump packages on the porch and leave.

Those that do come in my house, like the pest controller for his normal service, see me dressed but in stealth mode so it’s not a big deal for either of us.

I’m glad you have had good experiences Michaela. Did the first time go smoothly? I should have been more clear about this I’m referring to delivery people like a pizza or Chinese food.

I don’t get food delivered to the house so those folks never get near. You didn’t need to clear anything up really, to me, the folks I mentioned are delivering a service, same as the door dash & others. I just don’t use food delivery services, besides which, it would be cold by the time it got to me 13 miles out of town. LOL

Everything goes smoothly when the pest controller comes, he is too busy talking to me, or really listening to me, an English voice in the rural depths of North Carolina.

The problem is that they either dump the package on your door step and take off (sometimes you don’t have to sign), or if you do open the door they’re so busy thinking about their next delivery I could be wearing nothing but lingerie and they wouldn’t notice (probably not a bad thing).

I do not specifically dress in feminine attire to be to be specifically seen by anyone.  However, I also not generally select my outfit daily based upon who might see me.  That being said, while wearing my black and white gingham sundress (a favorite of mine), I answered the door to a court officer who was delivering me a subpoena.  He was clearly more shocked that I was expecting the subpoena than that I was wearing sundress.  We had a brief, but professional conversation on my front porch before we both continued with our business of the day.

I ordered a pair of dresstech hip pads, and upon checking the tracking it didn’t say anything about “out for delivery”, so I decided to transform into Wendy.   Well low and behold, the doorbell rings, the mail truck is parked in front of our house, and the mail man isn’t going to just leave it on the porch and take off.

I did open the door but then my wife steps in and says “I’ll accept the package”.  So I wound up hiding behind the front door.

One time I did get dressed up for a food delivery.  My wife usually accepts these especially when I am Wendy.  But this time she was busy doing something.  The doorbell rings, food was placed on the front porch.  Most times they just leave the food there and take off.  This time the guy heads to the end of our walkway, and waits for someone to pick up the food.  So I open the door, take the food in, and wave to him.  He waves back, turns around and leaves.  His reaction : nothing.  Wasn’t shocked or anything.

This next event happened very recently.   We had to get new passports and on the form we indicated that they be mailed to us.   I didn’t transform into Wendy but over the weekend when I did, I painted my nails bright red.

I checked the status of the passports on friday and it said it was mailed out, with a tracking number.  I thought it would take 3 – 5 days to get here.  The morning of delivery I got really busy with work so I never had a chance to check delivery progress.  So around 10 am, the doorbell rings.  It is the mailman so I bolted upstairs because he needs a signature for the passports.

Only afterwards did I realize I signed for it with my painted nails.  And get this, he only scanned one of the envelopes (there were 2).  So close to 2 pm, he rings again and says he thought he scanned both but didn’t.  So I grab the other one, he scans it, and I sign for it, again with my bright red painted nails.

I know he saw it because he was standing right in front of me and was watching me sign for it, both times.

His reaction : nothing.  didn’t even bat an eye.  We even joked around abit the 2nd time when I mentioned the next time i see him I hope he is delivering a big cheque from the lottery.

I think it’s more a thing for individuals who haven’t explored the outside world as a lady but could be a fun way to see how a person reacts, from the security of your home.
