Any thoughts on the use of facelift tapes or bands? (Art Hardy or Secret Lift) From everything Iβve read, they seem like they may help. (Us older gals any-hoo)😊 Any and all comments welcomed.

Hi Danica.
Unless you have your own natural hair long and nicely styled, chances are you may be wearing a wig. And if that is the case you really donβt need the specific tape you mentioned.
You can try the 3M medical transparent tape. Personally I have been using it for years, mainly to pull my eyebrows into a more feminine arch.Gabriela

I’ve used the tape around my neck area and it works really well. But be careful when taking it off! If you aren’t careful you can pull off some surface layers of skin. Make sure you follow the directions and you should enjoy using it – I have!

Thanks Brielle. Iβve also heard that if you use a product called Nu-Skin, which is basically a clear brush on bandage before you actually tape to your skin, that will elevate possible skin damage. Β Danica👠💄😊

For years Iβve used a thin βloopβ of old pantyhose. I tie it to get the right tension. I put it on low on my forehead, pull the knotted side low on the back of my head, then I slide the front up and back to just past my hairline. This kind of has the effect of a facelift, reducing wrinkles, eyelid sag, etc. If worn too long or tight, I do get a headache. So be for warnedβ¦

Drag Queens use tape to great effect – why not, if that’s the look you want?
One of the biggest factors in cross dressing is getting the look “right”, and the right look is the one you want.
It’s yourself you’re expressing through the art of cross dressing.

Danica,
I sometimes use the 3M Medical tape that Gabriela mentioned, and I use it to try to lift the sag out of the outer corners of my eyes. Β I use short pieces connected by a rubber band that I run over my head and under my wig cap. If you get the tape on your hair it can be a pain (literally) to remove, but it holds great and at least for me, doesnβt irritate my skin (at least for the few hours at a time that Iβve worn it)β¦.

Hi Danica, Facelift tape has been the saving grace for this 70+ CD. It can take years off one’s appearance. I actually use a combination of facelift tape and surgical tape. Wigs do a pretty good job of covering it around the neck, etc, but the tape around the eyes (where I really need it) takes some serous attention to makeup. Not to brag, but I have been asked by several CIS women to tape their faces for different events. I guess its cheaper than a facelift!! Take care, Paulette
