My suggestion would be to anchor the ‘Author/User/Profile pic/Notifications’ at the top right of the page so you can always see it instead of having to scroll all the way back up to the top of the page to get to it.  First world problems, I know, but I think it would be more convenient if it were anchored.  A few of my PM message threads are REALLY long  🙂
