Whilst Rachel has been out and about dressed en femme a number of times over the past couple of years the only times she has had any extensive interaction with others whilst dressed has been going for lunch with a CDH friend. During last year I had decided to start attending some business type meetings that I attend about 8 times a year in London as Rachel. Having prepared the ground by informing all of my fellow Committee members of my intention the next couple of meetings got changed to “TEAMS” meetings so my first in person meeting as Rachel was in the last few days.
It had been the intention for Rachel to be in full girl mode with Nail polish, eye shadow, lipstick, necklace, and clip on earrings but sadly she hadn’t kept an eye on the timing whilst undergoing her transition in the car and ended up only managing the lipstick and spending a significant part of the train journey removing the poorly applied nail polish.
But the meeting went fine with being addressed as Rachel as necessary during the meeting. Rachel wore a black and red minidress and a chunky cream cardigan with black patterned tights
Rachel now needs to get her timing right when she has her next meeting so that she can present a more complete look.
As Rachel is firmly in the closet at home she is needing to refine the process of transitioning in the car.

      Huge step!

I sure you have feel more confident about Rachel after this meeting/day.

And I’m sharing the feeling of not having enough time to prepare yourself as you wish!
Failing the nail polish on one nail can ruin the timing 😄

But if I don’t have time to do my eyes as I will wish, I will always go for the mascara, as it will intensify your eye look.

Thank you for sharing this great achievement!

The last thing you have to worry about when you scrunched for time is the nail polish .  Ditch it! As an afterthought, only if you have lots of prep time before and after getting home to remove it. Only you aware you are wearing it . And most people wouldn’t notice anyway, they’d be looking at your face , hair/ wig and clothing. Take into advisement 😉

Wow, congratulations, Rachel! I maintain a bright line between myself and my professional life, so you sound totally fearless to me, especially since you’re not out at home. Now you’ll have regular opportunities to refine your look within your constraints of car/train. I’m so happy for you!

That’s a great thing to do and it appears to have gone well. I am sure that in time you will hone your skills to create the perfect you.

      Hi Rachel
First of all well done you for having the confidence to attend your meetings as Rachel, it is
a very risky thing to do when still in the closet. Does your SO not know any of these people because you run the risk of being outed. I admire your boldness it must be very liberating for you.

Hi Sarah. Yes there is a very slight risk but it is extremely slight as there is a complete absence of any overlap between the other Committee members and what virtually absent social circle that we have where we live. It is only feasible because the all communication and paperwork for the Committees is electronic.
