Wondering if anyone has had experience with getting friend requests and odd conversations with ‘people’ who may or may not be people.
As CDH is the ONLY social media I’ve used in years maybe I’m just out of touch.
    Thanks. Rei

      Hi Rei,

I’m not sure about bots per se, we get some spammers who may or may not be real people who do show up here & do their thing from time to time, I put up a message about it not too long ago  *here*  which I guess you already saw so yea it does happen sometimes

Sorry, I should have been a little more specific. I am referring to private messages only.

Every person I’ve interacted with on the forums has been 100% real.

The private messages/conversations are just……. off.

But thanks for checking in! Beep

I have had experience with sites the owners of which attempt to create activity by sending nondescript by sending bland messages from supposedly other members. A give-away was when I received the same message from three ‘persons’ (with the same spelling errors) an two, different sites.

There are are deceitful or fraudulent acts that have been directed in my direction. Pay a $50 fee for the privilege of being ‘registered’. Other stuff!

Personally, I try to be honest and a little more frank than I might be if I wasn’t presenting a fake person Not only isn’t Araminta my ‘real’ name, it’s not even my ‘real’ ‘femme’ name. That way, if I get hounded by some undesirable I can just abandon the persona.

      Otherwise:

      I – am – not – a – a – a – a – bot! *static*

      Araminta.
