Her in the UK there is a TV advert – Life’s Steps – by a well know property company. You UK girls will be familiar with it I am sure. One of the best ads on the TV.
Graham is a long suffering dutiful husband with a bed ridden wife who constantly needs attention…. hence the “Graham!” Poor Graham plods up the stairs yet again to a repetitive tune. Anyway they move to a bungalow. At the empty house they have left a new family moves in – and a small child goes laboriously up the stairs to Graham’s tune… It is a very emotional ad.
Any way Graham has become a 3rd member of our household. “Any jobs for Graham today?” I ask. My wife plays along with it and gives me – or rather Graham- her to do list.
It’s as if Stephanie has pulled her alter ego – lets call him J – out of doing the manly household tasks and delegated them to the man of the house called Graham. Has Stephanie integrated J more into her femme personality? It’s an intriguing thought. It’s just a little fun of course.
Or is it?
Is there maybe a deeper psychological meaning at play here?
