Hi ladies!
One of the things that we as crossdressers get really good at is hiding our second selves from our spouses or SOs. That is, at least until we come out to them. We’ve learned how to hide our lingerie, shoes, makeup, wigs, etc. in places that they won’t typically go (like in the garage, basement or attic), so they (hopefully) won’t find them. And we’ve gotten really good at getting changed quickly back into male attire if we need to.
But…
Things happen. Our wives/SOs aren’t gone for as long as we thought they would be, or the weather turned bad so they came back, or a meeting was cancelled or a million other things. And we’re all dressed and made up and then BANG! We hear a door opening and in walks our wife or SO! Oh crap…
So of course that got me to wondering…
Has your spouse/SO ever caught you dressed?

As for the CDing aspect, no I have never been caught and had some very very close calls.
I used to engage in zentai. At that time my wife had no idea about zentai or me wearing women’s clothing.
Years ago, my wife used to take evening classes, and these classes were scheduled for 3 hours. So I figured I had a tonne of time. One evening I quickly devoured my supper and decided to get into my black zentai to chill out.
I had the zentai half way put on when I heard the front door unlock and open. The way our house is configured, running from the upstairs bathroom you have to pass by the front door.
So I bolted in a half dressed zentai racing downstairs. I hoped my wife wouldn’t see me but she did.
when I went back upstairs dressed in drab, she asked what I was dressed that was black in colour. I hemmed and hawed and tried to avoid the questions, but she got irritated and I finally told her.
“zentai.”. Learn something new every day; a full top to toe body suit. An interesting concept. Must look where to get them and try one. Any leads? Best, Marlene.
My now ex wife never saw me dressed in person. She was snooping on my iPad one day and saw a photo of me dressed. We had the talk and she asked me, among other things, was I gay. I’m not. Our marriage is now over, but crossdressing was not a cause of it.
My wife used to work part time as a sales assistant for a local women’s retail store, and the day I was almost caught dressed en femme was one of her regular Saturday shifts. Usually, once she left and I allowed for some time in case she forgot something and had to return to the house, I would have 4-5 hours of safe time to dress, enjoy a glass or two of wine, and then undress and restore everything to its tidy hiding place.
On this particular day, I had waited with barely subdued excitement, since it had been about a month since I had last been able to transform into my femme self. I had pre-selected a stylish ensemble that was based on one of my wife’s woolen knit little black dresses. It was knee length on her, but was mid thigh for me due to our height differences, and I loved how the tightly knit wool fabric conformed to my body once I had my shapewear in place.
I was already fully dressed and applying the first touch of lipstick when I heard the basement garage door opening. My wife was home far too early!
My heart sank as I assessed whether I had enough time to undress and clean up the foundation and first touch of lipstick, or if it was time for my wife’s discovery of my femme self. I instantly sided with removing everything, quickly shoving it all under the dual sinks, and then jumping into the shower to wash off the foundation and lipstick, with my workout clothing already laying on the bathroom floor so it would look like I was showering after a workout.
As a result, I was able to hold off the unexpected discovery by my wife of the “other” woman, and I limited my future transformations to times when I was out of town on business trips, or when my wife took an overnight or longer trip to visit her family.
Before the marriage ended there was a long period where she liked me wearing her panties. She also did not mind me wearing her lu lu lemon yoga pants. When she caught me watching bi sexual porn and many weeend nights sleeping in her panties the relationship started to end. I now have a much more open minded GF. I wear bras, skirts, dresses and panties. she loves it for a fun night.
My wife came home early from a business trip and caught me dressed in full-on clubwear, stilettos, wig, and makeup. To say it didn’t go well would be an understatement. 3 miserable years later we divorced.
In hindsight I’m glad I got out when I did. Never should have married her in the first place. I chose to ignore numerous red flags when we were dating. Never again.

Yes. My wife caught me red handed. Best thing ever for me. She had found little things like a lost nail and thought I maybe had a girlfriend. I would never cheat on anyone by the way. She was very accepting and supportive but doesn’t want me to come out. We go out all the time and perhaps someone will eventually figure it out. Just today as we were talking about possibly moving to get away from my stalker ex. She said that we need a lot of closet space for the three of us. And recently she said that other women in our house made a mess on the makeup table. That was good for a shared laugh.
Yeh, I accidently let my X find me underdressed, when I admited to CD and sometimes wearing her clothes sometimes over the years — the shit hit the fan. The first thing she did was to tell our 3 grown kids then treatened to tell my 4 brothers. Before you all condemn her, she did me a huge favor. Over the next year I told my brothers myself and lost some of my fear of being discovered. Since that day I have REALLY started to find my Cassie side.

I have now been married over forty plus years. Our first year my wife found a few wigs she thought I wanted to get kinky with her. She got mad and threw them out. I worked hard getting them, so I got them back. Before the internet you had to find a wig shop or before I had a computer. When I would go into a wig shop my hart would be going real fast. No one knew about Bobbi the fem girl. I built and sold a lot of houses over the years and the ones I built that we lived in I made good hiding places. When I went to trade school, I wanted to take hair dressing but didn’t have the guts. I came out to my wife over ten years ago and I figured she must have had some Idea she was shocked but not mad. She told me to get a counselor and I did. My counselor told me there is nothing wrong in wearing womans clothes or wanting to be a woman. I have been living my dream and I know I am not along anymore. My wife and my two sons are cool with it and the rest of my family, and a lot of my friends are cool with it. Both sons say I look like Alice Cooper when I get all made up their shocked and say I look good. I hit no I have never been caught.
I voted ‘other’ because it’s a little complicated. I came out to her several months after our marriage, now over 40 years ago. Since then, she actually bought me some silk panties, and we tried to incorporate my dressing (sort of minimally) into our private times. It really didn’t work that well, so basically I now dress in private when she’s out for significant amounts of time. Oh, and back when our kids were still around (they’ve all moved miles away…from us, from each other because of their desires to live in certain places) she did have to warn me once or twice to be more careful about getting things back together as she had to cover for me.
So, it’s neither Yes or No. Just complicated.

I voted close because one time before I came out with it there was a Saturday that she had gone out for the night and I was home alone… I put on a dress, tights and a bra cooked dinner then fell asleep on the couch after I ate… About 11:00 I woke up and she was on the other end of the couch sleeping I was covered in a blanket so I’m not sure if she saw anything or not lol.
My wife has not yet caught me dressed she is a very smart observant lady so I’m sure she has some idea I like womens clothing. I know it would be better to tell her about my dressing but the thought of getting caught all dolled up is exciting.
Close call tonight… I didn’t know i could run that fast in heels…
We are actually in a DADT relationship. So although she knows about me, she has never “seen” that side of me. If I were “caught” by just her, it would not be the end of the world. She just doesn’t want to see it so I hide it.
I just got a new dress in the mail today, and couldn’t wait to try it on. Home alone, i went and put on said dress and bra, and walked to the garage to get my box of shoes. I put on some 4 inch black heels, and they looked ok with the dress (It’s a gray sweater dress, very cute). I wondered what some color would do to the ensemble so I swapped the black heels for some very pretty raspberry pink open toe heels with ankle strap. Wow! so pretty! I was in the process of putting away the black heels when all of a sudden the garage door starts opening. I thought it may be my son back from town but i usually hear his loud radio when he passes the city limit sign. In a very athletic move, i slammed the case closed on the shoe storage container, did a spin in mid air, and ran all the way across the garage before the door opened 12 inches or so. Ran all the way through the house, up the stairs, and threw all my outfit in the bedroom corner where my work jackets stay and covered them. It was not my son that came home, but my wife who was out with the daughter and some friends, they came back from a concert. I really wasn’t expecting them back before midnight but here it was at 10 minutes after 9PM. I waited in the bathroom for a minute, breathing out slow to slow down my heart rate. Seems like nobody saw me running across the garage in heels… I think i set a new record for the 48 yard dash up stairs… and those heels with the gray and black in the dress really pop… will try again tomorrow!
I answered other as it’s a bit complicated. When I first came out to my wife I dressed in some lingerie (not the best choice) and she didn’t care for it. We talked and she said so long as I dressed in private so she couldn’t see me and I kept it in the house it would be okay. Needless to say there were a lot of questions. Over time she gave me some things she no longer wore. At one point she helped me order some bras, dresses and heels online. When they arrived she had me try them on so she could make sure they fit but still didn’t want to see me dressed. At one point she asked if my dressing was just a phase I was going thru and I told her I didn’t know and that I would stop. I crawled back in the closet. She was away for a few days and I took advantage of the time to dress. She would call every night to chat which was fine, until one night she called while I was getting dressed. When I answered the phone I din’t realize it was a video call. Needless to say she saw that I was in the process of getting dressed, commented that she thought I wasn’t doing that anymore and hung up. The following day I talked to her. She was till upset but over the next few days she came to understand what dressing meant to me. She has become more accepting of my dressing and helps me in a number of ways. She bought Suzanne a few outfits last Christmas, helped me buy my wig, bought me make up and showed me how to use it and a few other things. She still doesn’t want to see me dressed and will usually call me before she comes home so I have time to change, but there are times she hasn’t. Those times I have changed in anticipation of her coming home. Yesterday was a good example of that. She had gone out and after hse left I got dressed to do some household chores (laundry). When I was putting the laundry away I changed into drab clothes. A bit after I did that there was a knock on the back door and whne I opened it she was standing there. I guess it would have been interesting if I had still been dressed, I’m glad I decided to change when I did.

SuzanneI choose yes, but it ia a matter of degree. My wife new I liked to wear lingerie from the beginning. That was the limit of my dressing for quite some time, and she was fine with it and that I only wore panties. As I experimented with more items I kept that hidden and one day she caught me with lipstick on, and on another long hair coming out of my motorcycle helmet. Nothing was said either time, but she obviously knew I had expanded my femme persona. I just told her I like to wear dresses in case she came home unexpectedly. She responded they were just clothes and that I probably shouldn’t go out in public. It wasn’t really a DADT situation, but I mostly dressed in private although I did wear skirts around her a few times.
Then, one day while she was at work I got dressed and was enjoying the morning sun out in the back yard. I missed her text that she was coming home since the rest of the staff was having a meeting that did not include her. I eventually saw the text just as she walked up behind me in the backyard and hear, “is that you?” Why yes, yes it is, oh well, she now knew full well just what I got up to when she was at work. She was fine with it, didn’t say anything more and she went back to work an hour later.
I still prefer to dress alone, but I do dress more and more in front of her, and she is fine with it. As she says, it doesn’t do anything for her, but if I enjoy it then fine.
