Greetings all!
I’ve thought about joining the forum for quite some time. I guess my story is similar and a little bit different from everyone else’s.
Long story short, I’m not just a closeted CD, but a closeted genderqueer and bisexual as well. I’ve had to hide my gender/sexual identity for years now, but it wasn’t until the COVID crisis hit that things really came to a head for me. Around this time last year I made myself a promise: life is too short to not be who you truly are, and as soon as life got back to normal (or, normal-ish), I was going to start living MY life.
As for my own story, I’m in my mid-30s and in a committed relationship with a cisgender woman. She has no idea that I engage in crossdressing or have any sort of bisexual tendencies. So I’m walking a very tight line in remaining faithful to her yet still accepting my true sexuality and gender identity. On top of that, I’m in a VERY LGBT-unfriendly part of the United States and in a profession where genderqueer/nonbinary expression simply won’t fly.
All of that to say I’m here for support and to lend support to anyone else going through a similar lifestyle change. That, and it never hurts to make some new friends!

Hello Pamela. You are not alone. I am also struggling with walking the “tight rope” and can relate to much, almost all, what you have written. I don’t know that I can offer answers but can offer understanding. I can say that I have made some friendships here that have helped me. Welcome.
