I am Jennifer from southern Mich west of Ann Arbor. I just joined and I am looking for people to talk with. I would really like to meet others in my area to become friends and possible social get togethers not dating just lady get togethers. It is very lonely out here lost in a forest of sticks.

Welcome Jen! I know what you mean about feeling lonely. Conservative central Iowa is probably not all that different. It’s ok to feel how you feel. But, we are certainly not alone here on CDH.
It’s too bad the Midwest doesn’t have any kind of CD/trans conference like I know they have closer to the coasts. Maybe this is an opportunity just waiting for one of us to talk to a local pride group to try to get something set up. Of course, with this stupid pandemic, everything is likely to just go virtual in 2021 rather than meeting in person.

Hello Birel, you sound amazing. I think your idea for a CD/trans conference in the midwest sounds like a great idea. It would give many of us a means of meeting each other. I hope you are successful in researching and arranging a conference, it sounds like there well could be a need.

I can totally understand the loneliness of not being able to meet other CDs. Here you have the ability to get to know CDs from all over, and make friends. We are here for you.

Lexi I find that I am just so emotional these days and to hear from someone else, well thank you. I think I maybe getting emotionally out of control. If I don’t start my transition soon I may do it myself. I called the U of Mich gender center to verify they had received the forms I had faxed them. They had and said it will be days maybe even next week before I hear from someone. I am trying to wait but it is hard.

Hello ladies I am Jennifer from southern Mich west of Ann Arbor. I just joined and I am looking for people to talk with. I would really like to meet others in my area to become friends with and possible social get togethers not dating just lady get togethers. It is very lonely out here lost in a forest of sticks. I have cross dressed many times throughout life then I got serious for a few years almost living full time en femme. At that time all my friends knew, there were many that friendly called me things like a TV or a CD however I always told them I was a girl. Then I quit and burned a large wardrobe and returned to Michigan to care for my mother who has pasted on a few years back. I find that I cannot continue this charade. I have been online buying new clothes and everything else I need to be myself. I called this morning and made an appointment to start permanent hair removal on Monday. I have printed off a form from U of M gender center to begin my transition MTF female. I also scheduled a dental appointment for Thursday to clean up some dental issues as I am at that age where many need help.
I would truly love to meet others in my area. Feel free to message me please. Finally great respect for all of you ladies out there.
Also I am struggling with trying to find my way around this site and learn how it all works.
