I hate to admit that I’m completely inexperienced at this, but I am. I have no idea what my sizes are. if I gave you my info could you help me out?

      I’m 5′ 11”

      270 lbs

      wear XL or XXL shirts

      42-32 pants (though I really need a 40-30)

      Brown hair.

      Barrel bodied.

      so from that, any advice?

Hi Carolyn. I’m also completely new to CD so can’t help like many others on here, but I thought I’d share what I have learned so far as one newbie to another.

I am 6’2 and a fairly slim build but I have quite large shoulders, at least compared to a woman of my height! Anyway I have found simply by trial and error that I am a size 18 on top and size 16 on the bottom. For dresses I have to go with the largest so I’m 18. By the way these are all UK size as that’s where I’m from but a quick search online will help convert it to US if that’s what you need.

Anyway I think what I am saying is that the only way to work this out is by trial and error, and accept that you might be different sizing on top and bottom.

      Good luck x

Rachel you are the same as me I have to get a size 18 because of my shoulders but a skirt needs to be a 16. Sometimes I have to push a dress out to a 20 though. What part of UK are you from I live in the west midlands.

You’re welcome. Btw apologies for spelling your name wrong – my phone decided to autocorrect it! Usually I am a stickler for spelling, but my iPhone not so much…

I’m still getting used to the name. don’t worry. BTW Great to know someone in the UK. My dad’s family is originally from the south of England way back in the early 1700s. never been to the UK, but plan to visit someday.

You should – the Uk is a lovely place to visit (in places!), especially London, but gets a bad rap because of the weather. Where are you from?

Its a lovely name by the way – sounds Irish…?

Well, i was Born in Norway. Norway, Maine that is. but I’ve lived most of my life in Pennsylvania most of my life. I live in Central Pennsylvania, in Huntingdon County. it was named for an English woman by the name of Lady Huntingdon. she was famous or something, I don’t know. I live in the County Seat. Huntingdon, Pennsylvania.

As for my Name. my Real name is Colin, but I hated Colleen, so I chose Caelynn. If it sounds Irish, that’s a bonus I guess. I think I like it.

I’m completely new to this and am utterly lost on sizing as well, but had to say high to a fellow Maine girl.  I lived in Sabattus for about 20 years.

For us ladies with more curves, look at Jessica London.  There is a great selection of maxi dresses. 🙂
