So about me…
Well I’m 57, I’m married but I’ve been actively bisexual for over 30 years. Apart from the occasional thought over the years that it might be fun to wear a skirt sometimes, I’d never cross-dressed until late last year (with one exception – when I was 20 my girlfriend dressed me for a fancy dress party, and I certainly felt good but it never caused me to act on that or take it any further).
Late last year, on an impulse, I began to wear women’s underwear. That quickly led me to buying a couple of skirts, and the night I was brave enough to venture out in one I was in a hotel and I wore it down to the bar. Emboldened, I ventured out to a pub that same night, and this immediately gave me the confidence that it was OK to do this, and more importantly that it felt fantastic!
I signed up for a full makeover , I loved the results and I quickly learn how I like to look, and I now have a full wardrobe and last night went out in central London in fully dressed mode with breastplate, wig, low cut blouse and short skirt and it felt wonderful. To be honest I’ve surprised myself with how confident I have become so quickly, but loving the journey…
Hi Claire, and welcome. There is a very diverse community here at CDH where I have been able to make many new friends and share my experiences with. I am happy to hear you are very comfortable being ‘out and about’. Many of my friends are not, which is why I am working on a program to help them (and others) gain the confidence to go out in public and enjoy themselves. I live in Arizona, but had offices in London (Knightsbridge and Haymarket) for several years. I only wish I had actively been crossdressing then, since I have learned what a vibrant community exists there. I look forward to seeing some photos and hearing more about your ‘adventure’. Hello Claire welcome to CDH I am glad you have shared a part of who you are in your background and found us and made the step to become part of a family that is welcoming, understanding, compassionate, and supportive. While we are all similar and have many of the same desires we all differ on our goals or public expression and or level of personal experiences. I encourage you to explore the many forums, topics, polls and member biographies found here as there are a wide range of members all over the spectrum of feminine expression or those on the path to transition and those that have. There are also links to websites that have products and services that may help you on your own personal path of acceptance and self expression. Ultimately it is a place, home, or world were you can feel feel comfortable and confident in who you are; as being who you truly are as your authentic self of you being a man, a woman, or expressing your feminine desires feelings and or qualities. I am happy you are here and have made a choice to accept this part of yourself as self acceptance is the most important thing you can do for yourself and others. You can’t expect others to accept you if you don’t accept yourself all of you. As you are sharing a part of your authentic self here on CDH it ultimately lifts some of the burden that you may be feeling which many of us have carried for what seems like a lifetime you are not alone. Being here helps not only yourself but helps others gain acceptance and confidence I am happy you have made the step to be here. Sounds like you have had positive time being out in public already thats great!
