Not really new but only a few times a year, which is more that ever for me. Started at 14 so been doing it forever. Usually only get out around Halloween but have gone out a few times while traveling for work out of state. Biggest issue is I am really really bad at makeup and have a pretty masculine face. I have a breastplate and other padding so can do the neck down but can’t do a passable face. Currently Lisa’s stuff is in a storage unit so I have a place to change when I get the urge. Would love to meet local CD friends.

Welcome to CDH. We already love you just the way you are. This is a safe place. No judgement. I hope you find the love and support that i found here. If you stand by your local Walmart and look at some of the women, there are a lot that look manly. Not to worry there are girls on this site that can share what they have done that may help. I would say that is not as a big deal as you may think. There are a lot of girls here from Boston too. I am sure you can find a local group there. I attend a Sacrament Group. We are having a Spring Fling next weekend. I am so excited to meet other girls in my area.Hello Lisa,

Its not about passing, few of us do… its about attitude and how you carry yourself, its about blending in and not standing out. I never have problems or get flack about being en femme. Why? Because I exude confidence… even when I dont feel it. Get out there girl and be it. Be ‘ you’ in ‘your’ choice of presentation.
Hello Lisa … welcome to CDH from another (UK) recent member … I agree with Helene, its about having confidence … I first went to three CD meetings in 1996 (one with my wife) but was so terrified I could not really enjoy it … now I am retired I set myself small achievable targets which when completed will enable me to go out in public (first time) by the end of this month … I’m not worried about ‘passing’ … just being myself for the first time in my life … so enjoy yourself girl, you don’t have to be ‘perfect’ …
