I am a new member, although I have been crossdressing for most of my life (I am nearly 70). I first started as a young child with my mother’s clothes. From time to time, during my adolescence, I would seek out her clothes; and then during college and professional school, I would come home when my parents were away and relish the opportunity to dress for the weekend. When my wife and children were off visiting her parents, I’d have a happy time in full dress, makeup, etc. I came out to my wife about a year ago, and while she is generally okay, I still feel a little weird when I’m en femme at home. I limit my girl outfits to a camisole, panties, leggings and girly tops, and she is generally okay with that, and I wear girly pyjamas (I really want to wear nightgowns, but that might be too much for her). I get pedicures every several weeks, and have come to love color on my toes; I do my own fingernails and use clear nail polish, although the times when I’ve used a little color, it’s exciting.
Hi Petra, and welcome from another senior crossdresser. I think you will find this to be a great place to make new friends and share your experiences. I am pretty much in the same situation as you in that my wife is accepting to a point, but I try not to overdo it in her presence. I do get out and about fairly often and find it to be a lot if fun both solo and in the company of some other girls I know. I look forward to hearing more from you over the coming weeks. Hi Petra welcome to CDH it’s nice to meet you we are like one big happy family on here so don’t be shy come on in and join the family, I’m a mature crossdresser too I’ve been dressing most of my life since i was about 8 or 9 years old when i tried my older sister’s lingerie on I’m still in the closet to my wife, I’m sorry i can’t meet up with you for a coffee ☕ I’m on the other side of the pond in the UK, I’m sure there are lots of girls near to where you live who will be happy to meet up with you for a coffee and a chat I’m sure you will find lots of friends on here so if you have any questions just ask and the girls will get back to you X 🎀

Petra welcome. I too am in my senior years in my 60”s ouch!!!! . And have just in the pass couple of years open my hidden feelings of xdressing to which I haven’t experience since back in my late teens. Society’s ways certainly helped as an a early marriage so my dreams of experiencing my femininity was gone. But life’s changes helped to explore this so by searching around on websites I came across this wonderful place. Shortly after joining I learned how to open up to my wife and now a new world has been opened up and with support from her and this site it’s been an amazing time. I hear you, I too wished I had my youthful appearance back when as it would be so much fun to pass with little effort but now opps!! Let’s just say we need to work on sanding down the rust and let the shine show. A major work in progress and likely never to what we would want but I feel let’s do our best and make us feel great inside. This Will help to what we see in a mirror . With proper help it’s amazing how things can really turn out so don’t fret. It’s so much fun to see what we can do. Girls here are wonderful and very helpful so relax and start experiencing the true feelings that are now here. Friendships are so exciting to make and has help me accept who I am.
