Hi, my story is like that of many others. Interested in xdressing from a young age. Started by wearing my mom’s heels, then advanced to buying my own heels and hiding them at home for the occasional dressup time. I have bought and eventually purged heels many times, starting when I was a teen living at home up into married life. I remember the experience of buying heels to be quite exhilarating. I sometimes received a knowing half-smile from the sales clerk but very rarely a look of disapproval. My all-time favorite pairs were very tall (5″?) black stiletto mules, and a pair of white chunky-heel platforms with spaghetti straps and floral-patterns on the upper. I actually wore out the latter pair, eventually breaking the ankle strap.
Have been married to a great lady, for a very long time. We’ve talked about xdressing a few times. She’s not a complete prude about it–in fact, she’s a Rocky Horror fan–but she’s not wild about it either. At some point, I stopped trying to work out some sort of femme time arrangement with her, and decided to just keep it in the closet.
I’m a big fan of CD/TS eroticism (porn) but hide that fact from everyone I know. It would be a point of contention if I were to express this interest to the wife.
Visited a TG-friendly salon a few times just to hang out. If I were single, I am sure I would do a lot more of that–dressing out of the house and socializing with other CDs. Also enjoy the occasional visit to a TG blog/chat room, hence my impulse to join CrossdresserHeaven.

I think you will really enjoy the book “Sissy” by Jacob Tobia. The author is smart and funny, and he touches on everything you mentioned and much much more! I’m just finishing it. It’s had such a positive impact on me that I’m constantly recommending it.
