I flirted with cross dressing when young and then decided to abandon the practice. Now at the grand old age of 74 I have returned and am experiencing what I think is described as gender euphoria. I really enjoy looking like an elderly attractive woman. So I cross dress fairly regularly though spend most of my time as male which I do not find at all unpleasant. I’m perfectly comfortable as the male me but really enjoy on occasions being the female me. I guess I’ve just discovered that it is okay to reject the binary. I am confidant to go out to restaurants dressed as Hilda and have so far found the waitresses very accepting and more than happy to serve and chat with me. I’m based in Brighton and would love to meet other cross dresers. Once this Coronavirus is over more than happy to travel.

Welcome to CDH from a member that lives not that far from you and of a similar age. I am firmly in the closet but have been out dressed femme when the rare opportunity presents itself. When the Coronavirus situation has passed it would be great to meet up with you when I have one of my rare opportunities to venture out dressed femme.

happy to welcome you here with us . never too late to experience this as I have found late myself . Always had this feeling but not until my 60,s that I actually came out to my wife and started this journey. Many like ourselves here discovering this and with the help and support I have received here and the many wonderful ladies with their advice really help me understand how to cope with theses confusing changes. Best place is Bar Revenge – bar none, you might say, but I’ve been to the Queen’s Arms, The Amsterdam, Charles Street Tap, restaurants, clothes shops – everywhere with total freedom.
There’s a group of 4 of us who regularly meet there, and 3 or 4 others we occasionally see.
It really feels like a growing community, and nearly everyone I’ve met, whether LGBTQ or CIS has been absolutely lovely.
Last year I tried to drum up a mass meet in Brighton.
In the mists of the archives, I posted some write ups of my experiences there, in the hope it might encourage others who wanted to break free.
As soon as the coast (sic) is clear, it’s going to happen.
