I am so happy that I’ve decided to join your site and to be part of the family in our journey. I have looked at it for a while now as a guest and after reading the articles, pictures and seeing the comfort level everyone has, decided to give it a try. I have been dressing for about 7 or 8 years, but always within the confines of my home. Still working on the makeup but have come to realize that that is an art all to itself that takes lots of practice.

Hi Jessica: I saw what you wrote about the let down when one has to dress ‘male’ to go out for some reason. I can only tell you that we all suffer with that oppression and that all I can advise is that you slowly push the boundaries depending on your situation. I know that many of the sisters here might disagree with my solution, but in my case I found that forfeiting my life as an executive in a major company was worth my becoming a domestic because that is all my real self was allowed at the time. To my delight that position in life has brought me years of joy. Times have changed however and the glass ceiling is more attainable. Your guide in doing so however always needs to be God and i am praying right now that you have the strength to do as He directs, even if it does not meet your expectations. We suffer in this world so that we might be of worth in eternity to come. May you be blessed with the Holy Spirit to be your guide. In Jesus Love, gracie.

Everyone has different levels I have been full time since I was 9 till now at 62. Cross dressing is a interesting wold and I love hit and can’t get enough. Well we are glad to have you welcome to the site

Hi Jessica welcome to CDH it’s nice to meet you we are like one big happy family on here so don’t be shy come on in and join the family, I’m a mature crossdresser I’ve been dressing most of my life since i was about 8 or 9 years old when i tried my older sister’s lingerie on I’m still in the closet to my wife and family, I’m sorry i can’t meet up with you for a coffee ☕ I’m on the other side of the pond in the UK, I’m sure there are lots of girls near to where you live who will be happy to meet up with you for a coffee and a chat I’m sure you will find lots of friends on here so if you have any questions just ask and the girls will get back to you X 🎀

Hi Jessica, and welcome to a place where you can make new friends and share your experiences. I agree with you that makeup is an art form. When I returned to crossdressing about six years ago I was determined to see just how good I could get, so I practiced and experimented. I surprised myself to the point where I now do makeup semi-professionally for CIS girls and theatrical events. I am amazed by the transformative power of makeup. What really encouraged me is the CDH does not allow any filtered or photo-shopped photos in your Public Photos file. That motivated me to do the best I could to ‘pass muster’ when I post my photos. My advice is to just have some fun practicing your makeup skills. I look forward to hearing more about your ‘adventures’. Hugs, Paulette

Thank you Paulette. I have discovered what you mean about the power of makeup. A lot of times, I just simply put on one of my wigs to wear around the house. And when I look in the mirror, I see a completely different person. I love it !! I am thinking about going to have professional makeup done so I can see the potential and post photos.

Hello Jessica welcome to CDH I am glad you have shared a part of who you are in your lovely bio. I am glad you found us and made the step to become part of a family that is welcoming, understanding, compassionate, and supportive. While we are all similar and have many of the same desires we all differ on our goals or public expression and or level of personal experiences. I encourage you to explore the many forums, topics, polls and member biographies found here as there are a wide range of members all over the spectrum of feminine expression or those on the path to transition and those that have. There are also links to websites that have products and services that may help you on your own personal path of acceptance and self expression. Ultimately it is a place, home, or world were you can feel feel comfortable and confident in who you are; as being who you truly are as your authentic self of you being a man, a woman, or expressing your feminine desires feelings and or qualities. I am happy you are here and have made a choice to accept this part of yourself as self acceptance is the most important thing you can do for yourself and others. You can’t expect others to accept you if you don’t accept yourself all of you. As you are sharing a part of your authentic self here on CDH it ultimately lifts some of the burden that you may be feeling which many of us have carried for what seems like a lifetime you are not alone. I am happy you have made the step to be here. Welcome!
Just have to say please take the opportunity to have a makeover done by a professional you will be amazed at the results and it will motivate you to want a little more whether it be to learn by yourself or to take a lesson to get better. Practice Practice Practice makes one better at Makeup most big cities the women working the cosmetics counters are great with matching you.

Thank you April for your kind words. I actually am planning to have a professional makeup artist perform their magic on me, so that I can aspire to that level and post a picture. I feel that real beauty comes from within, and is only enhanced by what’s on the outside. I can’t wait to share so much with all of you.
