High Heels Problems

I just bought two pairs of high heels but both pairs have problems with fit; One pair is too tight and the other pair is too loose.
How do you go about fixing the fit?
I have tried inserts and cotton balls..

For the too tight, fill a balloon with water , out it in the shoes. Then put them in the freezer. The water will expand and and stretch the shoes. For too big, if they are not open toed, rolled newspaper or a small socked rolled up in the toes.
