Holidays with the family

I am curious, with the holidays approaching and everyone getting together with their families, how many of us will be presenting as their feminine selves?  This will be my first holidays that I am officially out to my mom and dad, as well as my brother.  I am slightly nervous but have already made the decision to be my feminine self, and be proud of it.  When I came out my brother was surprisingly supportive, but my parents were less than supportive.  So part of me is dressing out of spite, but largely the rest of me is dressing because I no longer have to hide behind a false persona.

Other then underdressing, I will be my usual drab self. I have no real desire or need to be around family or friends dressed. I wouldn’t really care if they knew I dress, but there is no need or reason to tell them, at least at this point in my life. A few people know, so it is not a total secret.

You are fortunate Michelle, it is very common for many family members to not accept us as our feminine selves. I have two brothers and a sister, only she and her family are fully supportive of who I now am, the others, along with my two adult children, do not accept, understand, or even want to understand.
I will not be going to see them over the holidays, as I am not welcome.
Count yourself as being one of a few who have a supportive family.
