It does matter what I’m getting made up for as sometimes I’ll take longer and sometimes it’s so much fun trying different techniques as I can be there for a few hours. We are so lucky as gurls to be able to change our looks as it’s something that men can’t do.

About 2 hours is typical for me, but that includes about 30 minutes to let my foundation set.  I think my fastest is about a hr.

Setting your foundation provides a good base for highlights and my foundation seems smoother and lasts longer. First I apply a fine translucent powder to my base foundation and wait 15 minutes. I then brush off the loose powder and continue finishing.  Make sure you use a flash friendly powder or you can get flash face with some camera lights.

Since 0 is less than 30, I had to select 30 minutes or less.  I generally do not wear makeup. I make no effort to hide my gender.

Hi Donna, I don’t normally wear makeup and (Girls, you’ll hate me for this) I can pass without it. I have a skin care program I follow, trim my eyebrows when needed, do a really close shave (I don’t have much facial hair, just a bit on my chin and upper lip but not enough to even grow a mustache, I know I tried), oh and lip balm.  I do get glammed up on occasion with full makeup (takes me less than 30 minutes to do) but that’s only when my wife is out of town.  She knows I’m a CD but I know she wouldn’t approve of makeup.  Especially as she doesn’t wear any makeup.  My makeup bag is definitely much bigger than hers.  All the Best, Hugs, Krista.

Wow, your wife doesn’t wear makeup, that’s amazing for a woman and you are so lucky not to have to. Though, the color of lipstick is necessary depending on what you’re wearing I’m sure. Thank goodness my wife does wear makeup as I generally use hers as she has a wider selection and doesn’t know I’m a CD so always careful so she doesn’t notice hers has been used. I have a wide selection of lipsticks as I love the different colors as can sit in front of the makeup mirror and change my look just with lipstick. Not jealous but happy for you to not have to use a lot to look pretty… Hugs, Lacy

I am still in what I consider the learning phase of doing my makeup. So a minimum of 30 minutes if I am real lucky. But then I enjoy doing it and wearing it that I may often take longer just because. And I sometimes get the steps confused and have to start over (OH POOR PITIFUL ME!). It is interesting that when I started the major issue was with my hand shaking (sort of looked like a little kid’s attempt at coloring) but my hand seems to be getting steadier with time/attempts so may be it will get better.
But when I see someone who knows what they are doing putting on their makeup I despair. But then starting at 75 maybe I can be forgiven my failures.

Donna!!  What’s the scenario here hon?  Could be anywhere from a few minutes to an hour or so, depending! 🙂  Average?  20 – 30 minutes.
Honestly, i hate doing makeup lol. Yes its fun to play around with, but the more time i spend on that the less time i spent doing what I really wanted to go do!!

When I first started putting on my own makeup it would take around 2 hours. But now after 25+ years I can apply it in 30 minutes or less. If I’m going out somewhere special add another 15 minutes.

I have the basics for everyday going out such as shopping or walking, down to under thirty minutes. Now, if I’m going out for the evening, that’s a completely different story! That could be over an hour. Practice, practice, practice, is the key. You will like your look more and darn, it it’s just fun!

My record of just makeup is about 30 min.  Usually though, it is 30 – 45 min at least.  I find myself dawdling and trying to tweak my makeup to improve things, and that winds up chewing more time.

I don’t do contouring anymore, if I do, that easily adds another 15 – 20 mins to my makeup time.

It takes me an average of 2 hours to do my makeup hair and dress. Never less really. . Okay, probably MORE than 2 hours if you count close shaving, moisturizer, primer, colour correcting, concealing, foundation, contouring, eyeshadow, mascara, eyebrows, false lashes, highlight, blush, setting, earings, necklace, bracelets, rings, stockings garters heels slip skirt and blouse or dress to wig and perfume. But Im not in a hurry -the holy ritual of transformation is one of my favourite parts of the journey!

Getting very practiced at it now, Donna! My wife has taught me the tricks and now I have a fabulous lip gloss that’s beyond reproach… Maybelline Ultra Stay! Oh it lasts all day so no more losing lipstick on your glass or your food… or even kisses, sisters!

I couldn’t answer this question because I don’t go out. I have a great relation with my wife who allows me a lot of freedom to dress. She has rules however, the big one is I can’t leave the house. You needed to add another choice or two for us shut-ins, lol. Just for the record, it takes me about 15 minutes for my house makeup.

At 75in October….Not a whole lot more to accomplish…I figure, 20 mins…I can be done, but I have routine down pretty well. I even apply eyelashes!

I probably need a Face lift…had my eyes done.  Love doing my eyebrows…

I do get compliments…It’s one of the pleasures of becoming feminine.
