As we continue this battle with the Covid plague….I needed to write something in praise of all those doctors and nurses…many of whom have died, trying to save perfect strangers……simply because it’s their job…and it’s what they do!!!
This world is in a dark place,
but it’s when we are at our best,
heroes and angels start to show
to care and help the rest.
The bravery and dedication,
the compassion that they show,
helping us in our hour of need,
saving strangers they don’t know.
To everyone on the front line,
as you risk your lives each day,
us mortals owe you all so much,
surely a debt we can’t repay.
“Angels” is such a tiny word,
but you are, that’s one and all,
we are so lucky to have you,
to stand up so proud and tall.
Once this plague is defeated,
the very darkest days are gone,
this world will always remember,
the time our Angels shone!!!

Beautifully written Grace, and we owe them a tremendous debt. Totally disgusting that their sacrifice and the reflection of their colleagues dedication to their duty of care throughout this pandemic hasn’t been rewarded with a pay rise that reflects the work and hours they do and indeed put in. Shame on the political establishment.
That was beautiful Grace, i agree totally we owe them a so much more than just monetary things, they should all get a substantial rise and also they should all resieve a MEDAL for service to the people xxxxx
