I woke up Monday, excited that I had a slow day at work, my wife would be out of the house all day, and my favorite thrift store has dollar Mondays.
Experience has taught me that the key to not wasting CD time is to maximize time by having an outfit ready to put on and timing shaving and showering well.
After doing a few hours of work, I shaved (just my chest and armpits), showered, and put on one of my favourite shopping outfits: tank top, short shorts with leggings under, a few pieces of jewelry, ballet flats, and a small purse. I decided to be a bit more girly wearing a bra with the straps showing where the tank top reveals a bit of back and arms.
I reached my favorite thrift store and started browsing. I found several dresses and bras, then wandered to the random stuff collection.
An older lady noticed me, and commented first on how how she liked my ballet flats. Then she looked me up and down and said how much she loved my outfit and that I looked good in it.
Time froze, the sky turned pink, I felt….really good, normal, me.
I complimented her on her shoes, and we both continued shopping. I had even more good luck, found a pair of push up pad bra inserts, my first.
Got home and squeezed in 2 dress up sessions between breaks at work. The bra inserts gave me an outline of cleavage that looks so excitingly, yet subtly feminine. My new bras fit well, with a new dress too. All used and just a couple dollars each.
I fell asleep last night dreaming of how I would write this post. It was a good day.
