I’d been eyeing a six-pack of panties at the campus Target lately (I work at a large university). They’re hipster cut, nothing special or fancy, and pretty normal colors too. I just knew I wanted them. It took a lot of courage, especially since I didn’t want to be spotted, so I went there before 8 am when it was pretty quiet inside, put them in a canvas grocery bag, and bought them with a set of Chapstick, just so I could say I bought something normal and innocuous as well. I’m so excited to try them on!

W.LOL, if only they had bloomers! I got the Chapstick because it’s eventually going to get much colder and drier in my neck of the woods, so I don’t want them to crack too much. I don’t think it’s particularly unmanly.
I like to use lipgloss. I have found that it works in cold weather and it comes in so many pretty colors. A friend at work had bad chapped lips and I offered my gloss. Now he wears it all year round

RaquelExiting times! I only once ever plucked up the courage to actually walk in to a shop and do this – I was 19 and they were doing 3 for 2 on g-strings in our local co-op. Typical 90’s porno chic and I just wanted them so bad I had to do it! I don’t even remember them clearly now except that they were so wonderfully trashy. It’s the experience of taking them to the cashier that sticks with me. I don’t know what she thought, I didn’t know at the time what I wanted her to think, but I remember her smiling at me to this day and I remember hurrying from the shop rather red faced but triumphant with my prize tucked into my coat pocket. The whole thing was just delicious!

I’ve always been apprehensive about buying femme things in person. I’ve done it a few times but I’m sure I looked really nervous! I have had really good luck buying things online, even from eBay. So you might want to try that option too.

I’m still living with family, so it’s actually easier for me to buy them on my own and hide them until I reach my room. Once I’m living solo, I imagine I’ll do a bit of both. I live semi-close to Janet’s Closet, a huge clothing store in SE Michigan aimed at crossdressers, so that’s a strong option for in-person shopping without shame once I reach that point in my life (hopefully in the next few years, just started a new permanent job that should help on that front).
If I order any femme things I have them shipped to work and then I sneak them home, otherwise the wife will open any packages with my name on it. It’s a trick I learned from some of the women I work with who don’t want their husbands to see what they’ve bought! When you’re out living on your own things will be SO much easier.

I now have more panties in my drawer and threw out most of my male underwear. I too love the hipster bikini pack by Hanes. 6 colors in a pack. So soft and comfy. I also find that when I wear my panties now that they fit so nicely that “Charlie” recedes into his man cave leaving me with a smooth rounded curve between my legs unlike the loose fitting male underwear and the “twins” follow along. So girls if you aren’t wearing panties then you should to enhance your female look and BTW I am a 38″ waist and size 8 panties and they fit perfect and comfortably.

I used to be very apprehensive when I shopped for my intimates until a trip to Kohls one afternoon. I was just browsing panties and bras when a sales associate asked me what I was looking for and if I knew her size. I mustered up the courage to just tell her I was looking for myself and without batting an eye she asked my style. Long story short, she was very helpful and made me so comfortable with the situation that she sold me several matching sets. I can only hope that she got a commission.
I have found that most of the sales people at places like Kohls, macys and specialty shops are very helpful when it comes to us ladies. I had a clerk at Macys who was more interested in Allysa than Bryan. It made me feel more comfortable and like your experience she recommended several beautiful things and even a new pair of heels. Nothing quite like the first time we do something. My first time buying lingerie was for my wife and it was thrilling, as was buying my first lingerie for myself, and yet the biggest thrill was when I did it open and honestly and told the SA I was shopping for myself.
Normally I don’t really enjoy shopping, but when it comes to femme items I enjoy it too much and has to control myself and not get carried away and buy too much.
Congratulations on your first buy! Today shopping for women’s clothes is not an embarrassing event. Stores have trained their staff for this and more! Your money is green and the stores want it! They don’t care what you buy and will help you with buying it. Stores will often pay a sales clerk commission fees for sales! So it pays for them to be helpful!
Things for you to do when you shop for female clothes for yourself! First act like you belong there, just like shopping for anything else. You do belong there! Be careful when you are trying on clothes as not to damage them. When I shop and want to try on delicate items I always get the size I think is right and a size bigger and try that on first! When you speak with the sales ladies be nice and tell them what you are looking for and ask them for sizing help if you are unsure. Unless there is nothing you don’t like or fits spend some money. If shopping is going to get you aroused, do something at home before you go! That can cause a scene and get you thrown out the store! Thats the basic things to do when shopping!
When I go shopping I usually buy online and pick up in store. My stuff is in a bag ready to go and I ask if I can have a dressing room please! They will take me right to one and let me try my stuff on! Thats a great way to start when you’re done they ask if everything is ok and that’s when you talk about more stuff you want to buy! Then you’re in for a great experience with them. If i’m going to try on stuff that is going to be in contact with my panties I put on a pad or liner. If the clerk is hesitant I tell them I wearing one for this reason and they are happy with that. Plus at my favorite shops I tip the sales ladies! When I come back to the store they are happy to see me even if it’s a different person. They know I tip. Enjoy shopping as you should!I bought my first on line. Now at the store. It was at JC Penn. Just act like you’ve done it before.
