Hello, I was very lucky to buy a black leather miniskirt in a charity shop, it has a half length zip. It is a UK size 14 and fits me perfectly. I am wondering if the half length zip should be positioned at the back or maybe at the side. I am a bit of a perfectionist and I want to wear it correctly. I would appreciate any comments. Thank you.

Normally zips up the back. Try zipping it up at the side, if it is an A line skirt it may work, but if it is a more fitted style you may find the stitching lines may look ‘bunched’ if it is not meant to zip up the side.

Thank you Bianca for your reply, I now feel confident that the skirt should have the zip at the back. I do love the feel of the leather when I am wearing it with my long sleeved black T shirt and black hold ups. I really should go for some brighter coloured tops as I seem to like to be dressed all in black. I have yet to find a dress that will fit me comfortably.

Look for the label inside, typically this goes to the rear.

Thank you Lanna for your reply, I have looked and the label is at the back close to the zip. I now feel confident that the skirt should have the zip at the back. I do love the feel of the leather when I am wearing it with my long sleeved black T shirt and black hold ups. I really should go for some brighter coloured tops as I always seem to like to be dressed all in black. I have yet to find a dress that will fit me comfortably.
