Manager Musings – that’s enough

many of you know exactly what I’m talking about.

popularity is no remedy for not following the rules.

she did not “just disappear”.

I have put up several posts about what is acceptable, and what is not. Some people don’t take to my suggestions.

I’ve said “take coaching and learn from it”, I’ve said “when you’re coached not to do something, don’t do it again”. Established members who run afoul of these recommendations generally end up being spoken about in the Managers’ Council, and the group decides on how to handle the situation. Even I can’t go against a decision by the Council.

I am “The Managing Ambassador”. I get the responses. I get the reports. I converse with the owner of the site, and I have no secrets from her.

I remove a LOT of trolls, that’s true, that’s part of my job. y’all are established members, and I’ve never seen where an established member hasn’t had chances to correct their behavior, except for two things: plagiarism and copyright infringement, and most of those got off with a stern warning.

Let me tell you a story. I had a friend here who liked to push things. She was a Lady, and she had some pretty images on the site, and changed her profile image from time to time. come to find out, all of her images were copyright infringements. She was banned by another Assistant Managing Ambassador. I looked into it, everything was just as that Manager had said. I was given the chance to disagree with her removal… I liked that person, but what was the RIGHT thing to do?

The rules apply to me, just as they do to you.

Now, this person deserves all of the privacy that every member here does. I can not, nor will I, share the specifics of this situation. Let’s just say “it didn’t happen overnight”
