Hi girls,
good to be here. Looking for tips and general advice. I’m 99% in the closet as it would destroy my life otherwise. Very sad, but that is how it is. Looking forward to make up help.

Hello Marnie!
I am quite certain that you are going to find a great deal of help & support from all the ladies here at CDH. I first joined here I guess about 2 years ago and it was one of the most traumatic, terrifying times of my life to even admit on-line about this part of my life. The other girls have been a WORLD of support and information.
As for being in the closet, I suspect you will find that many of are still so even we are evolving bit by bit. For myself I must confess that so far I have not revealed my femme side to my wife , family or friends. Rather oddly, it is the sweet younger women at “my” lingerie shop and a makeup artist, also female) to whom I have “confessed”. Not oddly – they have been supremely supportive.
Take small steps – but regular ones – no one-time leap off the cliff emotional explosions would be my advice. Look to any of us for help & support all the way.

If you have someone to talk to and share yourself I think it’s fair to say you’re more out of the closet than you might think.
Here we are.
Even without wearing anything overtly feminine, having someone to talk to is huge.

Hello Marnie welcome to CDH I am glad you have shared your photos and a part of who you are in your background and found us and made the step to become part of a family that is welcoming, understanding, compassionate, and supportive. While we are all similar and have many of the same desires we all differ on our goals or public expression and or level of personal experiences. I encourage you to explore the many forums, topics, polls and member biographies found here as there are a wide range of members all over the spectrum of feminine expression or those on the path to transition and those that have. There are also links to websites that have products and services that may help you on your own personal path of acceptance and self expression. Ultimately it is a place, home, or world were you can feel feel comfortable and confident in who you are; as being who you truly are as your authentic self of you being a man, a woman, or expressing your feminine desires feelings and or qualities. I am happy you are here and have made a choice to accept this part of yourself as self acceptance is the most important thing you can do for yourself and others. You can’t expect others to accept you if you don’t accept yourself all of you. As you are sharing a part of your authentic self here on CDH it ultimately lifts some of the burden that you may be feeling which many of us have carried for what seems like a lifetime you are not alone. Being here helps not only yourself but helps others gain acceptance and confidence I am happy you have made the step to be here. Welcome!

Hi Marnie
Welcome aboard! I am mostly in the closet as well. I did recently come out to my wife but I’m still hiding from the rest of the world except the girls here at CDH. I’m new to the whole makeup thing myself so I don’t have much advice but there are plenty of you tube videos out there that might help. It’s all pretty confusing at first with the primer, foundation, concealer and don’t even get me started on the eyes. You should find the ladies here a very helpful.

Dear Marnie,
Welcome to CDH. I believe you will find that all of the girls here are open and friendly. Each of us are at various locations on our travel to being the girl of our dreams. Some of us have the opportunity to express our feminine side openly while some of us take whatever we can get without “getting caught”.
I can’t help you with makeup since I do not have the freedom to ever use it in my situation, but there are many here who have gone farther on their journey than either of us.
I just want to say, be yourself as much as you are able and are comfortable.
