Hello Girlfriends
Well the other day I had to get an MRI. I showed up on time filled out my paperwork and then was escorted to a changing room where I was told to remove my pants and put on the typical patient hospital pants because my MRI was going to be on the lower half of my body. So I did.
Now 1) the two technicians were both young females in there late twenties or early thirties. 2) the hospital pants are secured at the waist with a cord and 3) I am wearing bright red women’s panties. Now do you have that engraved in your head.
So I go in the cubical change my pants and when I’m finished I tell the female technicians I’m ready, push the curtain aside and start to walk out. The technicians are right there to help me out and up on the MRI table. I take one step out of the cubical with the technicians helping me and the cord belt to the pants lets go and my pants drop to the floor fully exposing my bright red women’s panties. The technicians go to the floor in full view of my panties and pull the hospital pants back up and never said a word regarding my choice of underwear. But once I was in the MRI with the noise of the machine I couldn’t hear a word they said. I would have loved to have heard that conversation.

I recently had to have a dr look at my man parts… and was wearing a thong didn’t even think about it until I got there that she would actually have to check them out as I was having a urinary issue… I know I at least had two female nurses as well as the RN that I was seeing, had seen my underwear… not one made a face, a gesture Orr a snicker… they just acted as if it was another day. Then I had to go get an ultrasound on my hanging man parts… and I was wearing a white thong with polka dots on them and after I removed my pants and panties and got on the table I realized I left the thong fully exposed… again nothing was said even though I know there is no way she didn’t see them.

I’m surprised they let you keep your panties on. The last MRI I had, I was told that I HAD to wear the hospital ones only because they had had an accident in one of their machines. Apparently someone got quite a bad burn because their own underwear had metallic threads in it. I’m not sure of the physics of how it happened but that’s what I was told by the tech.

When you pass a wire through the magnetic field it sets up electrical currents and can get hot enough to cause a burn. A MRI unit is a very interesting thing…when you enter the tube all your atoms point in the same direction. I have been part of 11 MRI installs…loved doing that kind of work.

I usually wear black satin K&L Princess Laura panties to Dr. and medical appointments. The last 3 years to my dermatology checkups only, or appointments where I felt it was unlikely they would be exposed. This year I have worn them to all my medical appointments. See my recent reply in the Crossdressing Stories for my latest experience. All professional encounters.

I suspect they just wondered why so many men wear panties.

Hello Kathleen, Funny story, I would have had a laugh myself if it had happened to me. But as other people have said before, most hospital staff take no notice now adays. I had to go to my local GP,s the other month for a look at my stomach, he said take your trousers off but keep your pants on. I was wearing my normal cotton knickers [white with pink trim & a pink heart in the middle] he check all over my stomach & then said put your trousers back on. He saw my knickers but did not say anything, probably seen lots before. love, Helenmarie

Helenmarie,
I chose and started wearing female underwear to my doctors and hospitals because I kept reading and understood that no one ever had a problem with male patients wearing female attire and some patients were actually complemented on their choice in wearing them.

I had Bobby pins in my hair to hold my long hair out of my face. An MRI is a very strong and powerful magnet and I can see how it would burn you if you had anything metal on you. As for metal threads in your panties I never heard of that.
