I really like the idea of this. I would love to meet some of you in living color (in the flesh sounded a bit out of context). May is just an impossible time for me. If it were later in the year, I may could swing out there. But if it hits, then I could do next May for sure.
I would definitely go if the date were late may or early June.
I’d like to but I’m going to England and Europe for 6 weeks in the middle of May.
If it is early in your planning you might consider a review of the membership to determine where the majority of the girls live. Finding a site more convenient to the majority might bring a larger turnout. Just a thought.

If it was on mid Atlantic coast I most likely would attend but being on west coast I BBC would have to fly BC and I m not nb really comfortable flying in my Male self, I have rather expensive and extensive dental work, metalic fillings and crowns, the last time I attended a local professional baseball game in my m.h Male mode, every one was required to enter stadium thru two security checkpoints each with different styles of metallic and xray scanners. I had to rem remove my Western belt buckle and my watch and pocket of pens and mechanical pencils, even my copper fit socks got thru first check point okay but at second Check point it alarm .. the security alarm team can running with a scanner wand want when off next to my face and my shoe heels… my fillings and my eye glasses with Titanium frames and my shoe heels set off alarm at 2nd check station my shoe heels when I had heels replaced, apparently the Cobbler had used nails rather than glue thys combination of heel nails and copper fit compression socks set second sensor oi off along with eye glasses frame and dental fillings.

Hi Amanda, Wonderful to hear from you again. We have been out to Palm Springs 3 times since our Halloween dinner with you and it is a great place for cd. We would definitely come but we need to work around Esprit in May. We have just registered and Esprit if from May 10 to 17. We could definitely come to PS on weekends of May 2-3 or May 30-31. May 3 is the Vintage Market which is great fun. Keep in mind the Thursday night street markets. We could come during the week May 1-8 or May May 27 to 31. Hugs Jennifer

I would be “interested” but the logistics and timing just do not work for me. First, I would need to fly out west to you all as I’m about 1200 miles east of you in Texas. Second, all of the month of May, my SO and I will be enjoying a month long spring soirée that includes visiting Hawaii and doing a cruise from Hawaii to Vancouver. Perhaps sometime one will be in Texas.

I would love the opportunity to drive up to Palm Springs in May. It would be my only chance to attend such an event. It can get a little warm there in May, however, it would be lots cooler than Phoenix that time of the year. On the plus side, it is the off-season at all those great golf courses so the green fees are actually reasonable. Count me in.
Hi, Amanda, forgive me but I didn’t vote because my reply CAN’T be “Yes,” but “No” wouldn’t be appropriate, either. Time, distance, and dinero (and maybe age?) all conspire to make it close to impossible for this old girl.
BUT….. I do so get excited each time I see any attempt by someone to organize a CDH members-only conference or meetup. I really hope one of these attempts comes to pass one day and is duly chronicled after the fact so that all may share in the adventure.
I’ll continue following this Forum topic just in case the meetup actually makes it to the planning stage.

Hi Amanda I think a conference is an outstanding Idea.
However my company requires me to bid my vacations in December of the previous year.
So my vacations are already picked.Also travel and accommodations will be tough for many here.
I used to attend a convention for a different interest and they would get a special rate at a certain hotel.
so maybe next year.

I will likely be working at the Harvey Milk Diversity Breakfast on the 7th. As I understand, it is the largest Harvey Milk celebration in the country with last year’s attendance at about 1,000 people. Proceeds go into college scholarships for LGBT youths and GSA organizations here in The Valley.
One item that is not on the calendar yet is the Arthur Lyons’ Film Noir Film Festival, May 7-10. This year will be the 21st edition. I’ve been in the past. Some of the actors, directors and writers are still with us and participate in Q&A sessions after their movies are shown. The 2020 schedule is not posted yet, but the web site and 2019 schedule can be found at:
