the last picked for second grade kickball,the scratch on the best song on the album (its bohemium rahpsody by the way),the falling star that didnt reach the earth,the misstyped text thats missunderstood ,the leftover coffee because you made a full pot for yourself, leaves of grass by walt whitman unread on the library shelf. I m the branches scratching at the moon.

i rounded all the bases , night of the opera is a mint condition album, their will always be another meteor shower, the brown fox jumped over the lazy dog, always make more in case you have a guest, leaves of grass is a wonderfull book, im the roots grasping the earth.

Hi June, I like the juxtaposition between the two halves of your poem, the first showing all the flaws and the branches reaching out in order to grow; and the second showing all the accomplishments and grounding the roots in strength. I do agree with Cynthia though, I feel like there’s a third stanza hiding in there somewhere waiting to be added.
