Renaissance Festival

It was such a beautiful day today I went to the Ren Fest in Fairburn Ga. I dressed in my festival dress, full makeup and flats and headed out. I had such a wonderful time walking around mingling with the crowds and enjoying all the entertainment. It was really busy probably a few thousand people enjoying themselves. I was called My Lady so many times and had one woman come up and tell me she loved my dress and wanted to know where I got it. It is such a wonderful pleasure feeling the hem of my dress sway back and forth and feel the breeze catch the dress and feel it billow out some. It was nice seeing people enjoying life and for a few short hours not dwelling on the issues of life and the world.

I’ve been to many renaissance festivals….. but never as a lady… I’ve been Robin Hood, a Lord, a headsman & a Friar. Now you have set me to pondering, This I might actually be able to pull off!

Ren Fest is like Halloween, all bets are off and anything is possible. Dress to the nines and enjoy the freedom. It is the opportunity to be dressed and have fun.
