I’m breaking in/getting used to a pair of 4 1.2″ heels. I fitted heel grips to stop them slipping off my feet when wearing tights/stockings. The biggest problem is the pain in my feet where my toes join the foot. The balls of my feet. Today, I fitted a pair of the padded heel grips where the balls of my feet sit in the shoe. I know you can buy dedicated pads, but i don’t have any…. Anyhoo, they have worked a treat. My shoes no longer hurt…..

So why do shoe makers not build this into the shoes they make?

Some do.  The Payless   Comfort Plus line is/was a good example. I think a couple of colors and styles are still available although most went away when the stores closed. I bought every color in both pointed toe and round that they offered in wide width before they shut down.
