My first visit to The Ladies Room was also my first outing with 2 girl friends (cis gals). We were at a casino having a wonderful time, and were about to move on to the next stop when Sarah said she needed to use the Ladies Room. Being women, Linda agreed while I stood there for a brief moment considering my options. I had NEVER entered a public Ladies Room before, and was imagining all the worst reactions. Sarah saw the look in my eye, grabbed me by the arm and started toward that Hallowed Sanctorum. We were walking in before I knew what was going on. No one died, no one called the police, no one screamed “It’s A Man!” I just entered a stall, did my business, and primped in the mirror while waiting for the girls. So now, when the urge hits, I waltz right in full of confidence that THIS is where I belong.

Hello Julie, You were lucky in having a couple of girls with you when you first went in the Ladies room. My first time I was on my own, the Museum I was in was quite empty which is why I decided to go to the Ladies Room & give it a try. If there had been a lot of real ladies about, I would not have tried it. I have been using Ladies rooms (when I think it is appropriate to do so) for a while now but only if there not a lot of ladies about, especially if they have young children with them, could be called a pervert or something like that. love Helenmarie

You have entered one of the inner sanctums of womanhood without any disaster. It’s easier than you think isn’t it. It will be your new normal.

Well done Julie, so glad you had girl friends with you to help break that unseen but oh so big metaphorical barrier. After the first time it gets so much easier. As you said all the business goes on in a stall so nothing inappropriate. Then just wash your hands, obligatory check in the mirror and face/hair maintenance if necessary.
Just be confident, reciprocate any pleasantries, and leave.
I go to a club on a Wednesday (in male mode) for dance classes. Went to the club on a Saturday night a couple of weeks ago en femme with a couple of girl friends, and visited the ladies bathroom. At my dance class last week had to pause outside the facilities, a brief ‘which one?’ went through my mind. Nobody saw the wry smile on my face as I entered the gents bathroom.

My first time was also one of those non-event events. It quickly became second nature. I couldn’t imagine going into the mens if I were presenting as female or non-binary. It’s not worth the risk.
