I don’t go in for silly posts. I am quite a serious girl, known in the past (I am about to start again) for boring posts of a scientific bent.
But I haven’t stopped smiling since Rei Durden started her wonderful post “My own take on tucking.” A serious subject. There have been, as Grace said, zillions of posts on this subject. Serious that is until the methodology is somewhat…. unusual…. and hard to visualise without diagrams.
In these dark times, when we are locked in our homes, we need something to brighten our lives. So I urge you, girls, to take a look if you want a laugh – but have a spare pair of panties available.
Where else would such a post include Volvo’s, Chandeliers, Knee high’s, the Latin name for “frontbottom”, cam belts, nuts, inguinal canals, camel’s feet, wet knickers (several pairs), elastic bands, gravity, climbing Mons pubis, the fire brigade, Bolsover and castration? And you though tucking was a boring subject?
This is why CDH is so good for our mental health. Not only is it informative, packed with lovely stories, informed advice, common sense, wonderful support and – well it’s a long list – the opportunity to laugh at ourselves. Or just to have a good laugh. I am amazed at how talented many of the girls are, and how some add sparkle (you know who I mean Grace and Amanda.)
I start my day (after taking the dog out for a pee), with a cup of tea, then I rub my hands together and log into CDH to see what gems or interesting topics have popped up overnight. It makes my day and helps me cope with any negative thoughts re the pandemic.
It’s ok to be silly sometimes don’t you think?
Wonderful
With special thanks to Rei for allowing us to hijack her post.
