I don’t go in for silly posts. I am quite a serious girl, known in the past (I am about to start again) for boring posts of a scientific bent.

But I haven’t stopped smiling since Rei Durden started her wonderful post “My own take on tucking.” A serious subject. There have been, as Grace said, zillions of posts on this subject. Serious that is until the methodology is somewhat…. unusual…. and hard to visualise without diagrams.

In these dark times, when we are locked in our homes, we need something to brighten our lives.  So I urge you, girls,  to take a look if you want a laugh – but have a spare pair of panties available.

Where else would such a post include Volvo’s, Chandeliers, Knee high’s, the Latin name for “frontbottom”, cam belts, nuts, inguinal canals, camel’s feet, wet knickers (several pairs), elastic bands, gravity, climbing Mons pubis, the fire brigade, Bolsover and castration?    And you though tucking was a boring subject?

This is why CDH is so good for our mental health.  Not only is it informative, packed with lovely stories, informed advice, common sense, wonderful support and –  well it’s a long list – the opportunity to laugh at ourselves. Or just to have a good laugh.  I am amazed at how talented many of the girls are, and how some add sparkle (you know who I mean Grace and Amanda.)

I start my day (after taking the dog out for a pee), with a cup of tea, then I rub my hands together and log into CDH to see what gems or interesting topics have popped up overnight.  It makes my day and helps me cope with any negative thoughts re the pandemic.

It’s ok to be silly sometimes don’t you think?

    Wonderful

With special thanks to Rei for allowing us to hijack her post.

    Stephanie P 🥰

Sometimes the best laughs are the unintended ones!

I’m thrilled beyond words to be a part of this group.

Thanks for providing some levity, Sisters.  The things we do, the situations we get into with it, how can you not crack up over this stuff sometimes??  Lol…I dont post or cut up with people as much as I used to, but be assured there are times I laugh til it hurts over some of the things I read here…sometimes perhaps even when I really oughtn’t…and just think about em later & laugh some more 🤪🤪

Ladies I have to chime in on this one. We all have so many serious issues to deal with regarding our cd’ing that sometimes it kind of puts a damper on things. As our wonderful philosopher Grace had stated:

CDH is a support site, so full of wonderful advice and beautiful souls…..but more than that, it’s full of love!!!

Well as what I consider a rather large group of sisters, and for those of us with sisters, you know that love can sometimes be pretty crass and funny. Thank you all for keeping the love and humor flowing freely and brightening my days!

      🍷C

      Thank you Grace…

As usual you put it much, much  better than I do.

Oh dear I have just posted a (nearly) 100% serious one.  Please don’t leave!  I will ask Samantha to remove it if you promise not to abandon us.  Amanda would be devastated!

      Steph 💖💖

Absolutely would be Stephanie if you left as well as Grace. Love every one on here they are all fabulous, but you two absolutely crack me up, my kind of humour off the wall and hilarious and brilliant friends.

      Brilliant just brilliant.

The original tucking post was funny, and I am sorry if it was meant to serious and informative.  What got me more than anything were the follow up replies.  I was laughing so hard at my desk, and I couldn’t explain to my co-workers what was so funny, or I would have outed myself.  From now on I will have to watch what I read at work.

I laughed so hard at this post that I wet my knickers (several pairs).  Thank you Stephanie (and Rei) for lightening up my day.

Hi Steph…. suppose I had better say something…..

CDH is a support site, so full of wonderful advice and beautiful souls…..but more than that, it’s full of love!!!

and support does indeed include mental health…which is thoroughly boosted by the gift of laughter. My goodness, I can certainly remember crying through distress and/or grief…but crying with laughter???…these last few days have been a godsend to me, I am walking around grinning continuously….thanks to you girls, and long may it last.

If the site was 100% serious, I for one would probably leave, after all, good advice is so important, but laughter is a wonderful way to take a break.

At this point I would like to thank the beautiful Rei Durden, who unwittingly, created a monster so huge, if I just hear the word ” tucking” or even ” Volvo”, I start giggling …..thank you Rei ( post of the year???)

Remember that ” a mental elf” is not just for Christmas, he should be maintained all year.

Love to you all, grace ❤️❤️

Stephanie sweetie, it’s always lovely to have a laugh, what is life if you can’t have a giggle or two. It’s great for socialising and breaking the ice, and as you say can really lift you when you need a tonic. A harmless bit of micky taking or indeed being  the recipient of it can be a tremendous step to great bond through humour alone. I have certain found this on here, as well you know, he- he!!!. One of life’s qualities is the ability to laugh at yourself, even through the negative time. Humour can be a great healing process.
