Sound like my mother, who was 29 (+change) until our child was born at what point she became 39(plus change)

Now the number of days since we where born doesn’t really matter as much as what age our mind is in.
I say that you don’t stop doing this or that because you getting old, you getting old because you stop doing it. I just read about a friend of a friend of… who done triathlon runs for 35+ years and he is now 80.

Ive always gone by this age is not a barrier to anything as since i past the milestone of 50years old 4years ago.ive made a point of being myself and doing anything that takes my fancy and people should never put off things they think they are too old for because 99 times out of 100 they aint too old xx

Been out in public dressed,   in my 20’s in the 1960’s. October,  75! Proud to have been out when we all could have been thrown into jail for doing so.

Gosh when you think out, what a draconian law that was! Thank heavens the world has changed! I can remember going in a department store in the late 80s and buying myself a new dress 👗 and the look of horror on the shop workers face was awful! It was like i was some kinda strange alien lifeform! I made a real point of going into the changing rooms and then asking the assistant for her thoughts? But strangely the previous assistant was replaced and this lovely lady had took over, she was so nice and said to me if i wanted a nice pair of shoes to match my dress she knew of a ‘specialist shop’ just around the corner. So off i went to get my new shoes after paying for my new dress. All this happened in Brighton and i regularly see the lovely lady that gave me such help. I think thesedays many shops have moved on and possibly get training for customers such as ourselves. One of my fav shops strangely enough is ann summers as they have many lines for the larger lady and girls like us too and yet again they are very professional and dont judge cuz back in the day there was plenty of that as the giggles of staff from back in the day still remind me that things could be very awkward back then.

Thanks girls for all your votes!

Looks like I goofed with the 51 – 60 slot. It should have been 51 – 55 then 56 – 60… sorry… but if we all vote then it should give us a pretty good idea of our sisters here on CDH and you can extrapolate from that what you will.

Oh dear im 54years old next October! Which i find shocking as i still feel like im in my 20s! I was told age is just a number and as ive banned numbers from all birthday cards i receive i lose track of my age and i found its good to forget as dont like dwelling on my age. I look well for my age and feel very young and still get nice compliments all the time, as even last night a friend said ive got a cute bottom and divine legs to die for! It was 1am in the morning so a few drinks had been drunk xx

I just turned 70 last year, and had a stroke a few months later. Spent a month in the hospital, another in a rehab facility, relearning how to walk. Then, after being back home for only 2 weeks my state/city closed down for a year, and a half. I still look about 45, but that stroke took it all out of me. Sorry, girls, no where to go, nothing to do, and being alone is for our feathered friends. Best wishes to all my fellow lovelies. Hugs and kisses, sweeties!

Wait a minute!!! Aren’t we all girls here? Nobody should be asking our ages.  My SO would slap me silly if I were to ask the ages of any of our female friends.

I will never say what anniversary I’m at of my 39th birthday….ok, 49th birthday…..<sigh> ok, ok, I understand.  As Kris Kringle replied when asked his age by Macy’s HR, ‘As old as my tongue and a little older than my teeth.’ That is valid, but it still is a little vague.

So…..I’m 74, but I truly, really feel only 71…so there!

    • #515115

I am 73 ,but I really feel like 39,Hey ,a girls age is very flexible.LOL.

I stopped having birthdays at 21.  I only celebrate the anniversary of that day now.  The 41st anniversary is in 1 week.

Just wish I was still that bendy.

I just turned the big 70, and I really feel it when in male mode. Somehow I feel so much younger when I am in femme mode. I truly feel young at heart when properly dressed, and I think I look younger. Maybe it is the makeup, but I really think it’s the smile that comes from so deep within.

    • #515168

I am 45, and I am wildly surprised to find myself on the lower end of the age group here. That is meant as a compliment to the group in case it didn’t come across as such. That is due primary to what is written here – much of which sounds more youthful then what the data shows! Well done!

Age??  I thought discussing such things would be verboten like politics or religion….. well, it should be!  How about “firmly entrenched” in middle age.    I am in my 50’s – that’s all your getting from me!  😁  ( still act like I’m in my 30’s tho’! )

Now, if anyone starts a “How much do you weigh?” thread, there’ll be trouble!😮 😅

What’s really amazing to me is that fully 70% of us are over the age of 50!! I wonder if this is truly representative of the entire  population of MTF cross dressers, or just a reflection of the CDH community.  If the latter, why is that? Why do we have an age distribution that is so skewed toward the “mature” side? Maybe younger CDs use other forms of social media, or have been raised in an environment that is more accepting of gender variance and therefore they don’t seek the kind of support and validation that are major drawing cards for CDH? All stuff that makes you go mmmmm.

    • #515452

I’m in the older bracket at 82, nearly 83. I feel like a twenty-five year old, but there is never one around!

Im 64 on the outside, late 30’s inside.
As a sidenote, My wifes GF visited yesterday, she is the only one knows “me” besides my wife. I wore a new “flouncy” wig, and a form fitting just below the knee a-line dress.
Her comment was, she had only seen me in younger, sexier looks, and this was lovely, more age appropriate????? Oh my god, how I hate that phrase, lol

So far we know there are at least 123 active sisters on this site and the majority are over the age of 46 with a good amount of mature girls. What does this mean to you?

      • #516170

Hi Michelle. I’m 65. I can only tell you my perspective about some of our advanced age. Other than brief stolen moments. When I was young my time was almost entirely consumed by work and family. Sadly in that order. I simply had no space in my life for Michelle except in my mind. I also was not that confident or secure as a person to perdue my passion. Nor did I have the resources to commit to myself. Like many parents I put myself last. Now I have the time confidence and resources to perdue my own wants and desires. Would I have dressed at twenty or thirty if things had been different. Definately. But like most of you. I have no regrets. That is why I think our ages might be on the mature side.

Hi Michelle and thanks for your input.

Yep I can understand what you are saying and our addiction is one that takes time to develop to the point where we can feel comfortable in expressing ourselves. Time and opportunity. We all had lives  to live and with family, work, and limited opportunities in our youth we just didn’t have the time to dress much… makes perfect sense.

Now as mature empty nester and maybe single girls we have more resources than ever as the long held back dam bursts in expressing our long hidden desires. Its another reason to be thankful we’ve lived this long.

Also back in the day there were almost no opportunities to connect with others like us and societies views of our desires was a brick wall too. There was so much guilt and shame back then.

I wonder how todays wide open opportunities the younger generation has will affect their development. I think maybe they will be more open in expressing themselves sooner than we did and will be more bold than we ever thought we could be. Cross dressing just may become a common thing in society…  like no big deal. I really hope this is the case with all the exposure  cross dressing  is getting now.

At the risk of this subthread getting long inside your post, I think it has more to do with life’s disappointments we’ve lived through. I’m 63 and tired of being the one that’s demanded to be who everybody wants or even needs me to be. Me time!

I think hormones plays a part to. Just like it changed us in adolescence, it’s changing now. I believe my testosterone is down. If we have any estrogen, it’s probably replacing it.

          Just my uneducated $.02.

Hi Michelle, I can pretty much only speak for me, so I doubt if this site were available back in my 20’s or 30’s, would I have joined. I was much too insecure, and still dealing with the internal struggles of acknowledging my inner desires or trying to eradicate them.  I definitely would also have been unsure of being as ‘public’ as I am now and relating a lot of incidents from my life. People who know me well, could by reading my postings begin to get suspicious, especially close family members. However, I’m retired, and old enough that I can be irascible and get away with it, so there is a lot less down side to being more open. And since I have accepted who and what I am, at least a whole more so than when I was younger, I feel more willing to share all that along with what others here share.  And if they all can do it, well, so can I!

Hi, I’m a 30 yr old crossdresser just getting into the game after years of dreaming and very few opportunities to dress. Within the last year and a half I have really achieved some milestones, and it all started with this site. I love having the opportunity to learn from experienced crossdressers, whether its advice, encouragement, regrets, or just a good story. There are other places I go to hang out with women my age, but this site is really special and valuable because of its older demographic. Much love to all of you beautiful ladies💋

Well time for an update. It looks like we may have about 200+ active members here on CDH and the majority are over 50 years of age. Looking at the forums I think most just lurk and read posts. This is a great place to read about other girls adventures and advice but I wish more would post their views too. Come on girls, share with us, its a feminine trait.
