So the world is beginning to start up again and that means going places! The next trip I’m planning is to go to Diva Las Vegas in (you guessed it ) Las Vegas, NV. It runs Oct 25th-November 1st. I plan on arriving Tuesday October 2th and departing early AM on Tuesday November 2 (cause Tuesdays generally are cheaper flight)s. April Pacific Princess is meeting me there and I know a few others may be attending as well. Unlike other CD/TG conferences such as Esprit or Keystone, Diva Las Vegas is more like a semi-organized vacation than a convention. There are no “seminars” or “required events” ( events are loosely organized). Because of this, there is no registration fee though they do require pre-registration for planning purposes. Attendance apparently tends to run in the 100-200 range. Full disclosure this will be my first time attending this “event” though I have been to 3 Esprits, 2 Keystones and 1 Southern Comfort conferences in the last 5 years. Vote for the choices given and I’ll eventually form a group for those interested. Please leave a reply if you plan on coming (indicating if you are sure or just considering it) . Registration is open already for the event. I’ve never been to Vegas and I’m really looking forward to m first time there! I was planning to attend DLV and Wildside, which are taking place at the same time. Now I’m not sure I can attend either. A couple of unexpected family/home issues popped up that will take months to resolve. Hopefully I’ll know by September.

Lost WagesLas Vegas is not on my bucket list of places to visit. Adding your description of “more like a semi-organized vacation than a convention” just reinforces a decision to say no. It’s not that I’m not ready, as much as I’m not interested in the destination.If it fits in my schedule, I would consider attending Keystone (which I can reach by driving instead of flying, another advantage).
Have registered and reserved a room at the Flamingo. It will be my first time.
Still a bit early to book a flight or a car, but watching for any good deals.
Have visited Vegas many times before and agree it’s not for everyone. I only gamble a little and tend to explore the off-strip things. Have been to the Grand Canyon twice and Death Valley once – both long day trips you definitely need a car for. And have been to Hoover Dam enough times so I finally got to take the long tour (some of the time you can take a long, complete tour of the dam and go way down inside it, sometimes just a little ways in, and sometimes just the museum. It depends on how well the elevators are working and what else they are doing.) Hoping this time to see the exhibit whose name I forget at Louis Vuitton, show up in time to take a tour at the Cobra museum, and explore downtown more.
Am both excited and nervous. This will be the longest time I have been out in public as Millie. Usually she just does a single event or an hour or two in the casino and then runs away and hides.
Lots to do before then – like learning how to put on my makeup so I don’t look like a circus clown.
But looking forward to all of it.

This is something I have to think deeply about and although the answer is not at present I would like to add my deepest thanks for the offer, it great to know that when and if the time comes this is an option. Of course I would have to travel from the UK and I very much for anyone who wishes to do this now the travel regime eases.
I am planning on being there and have registered — it will be Terri’s first time doing LV.
I am actually meeting a couple of CD friends who go to LV every year, on their own, and who will be showing me around, so I don’t know how many of the DLV activities we will actually do.

Halloween in Vegas is so much fun. I would love to go with any of you girls. I can not do it this year. I will recommend it. I hope that this will be an annual thing. I was doing Sema the last time I was there for Halloween. From the pictures I have I like police and cartoon animals. I don’t really remember but someone took pictures. I do remember that I had fun and still made it to my meeting the next day.

Going to vegas with my wife as a getaway is something I considered for some time and this sounds like something I could do some year but not this year.
Besides that we Canadians aren’t allowed to USA for non essential reason I feel I need to take a few more babysteps before I can join something like that./kt
Hello Ladies!
CIS girl wife here. I think we are going to DLV this year! We had plane tix we had to use by the end of this calendar year due to cancellation of a prior “Covid” trip. We had planned to go to Florida and hang at the beach at the end of October. I happened upon this forum and thought I would broach the idea to my CD hubby, that if he wanted to, we could try and scrap the FL trip and head to Vegas instead. He has always wanted to go to Vegas anyway (pre-coming out to me), I just never was too jazzed up about it. Anyway, as I’m sure you all can imagine, it took about negative three seconds after I broached the idea for him to learn what DLV is, and then to say “yes !” lets change the plane tix. Hopefully all the change of plans will work out – we are at the mercy of our credit card company to change the flight – we had booked with our points. Once that is ok’d (may take up to a week), we will cancel FL hotel (only a $35 penalty) and book The Flamingo. Unfortunately, due to flights and work, looks like we will be leaving on Sunday and will miss Halloween in Vegas. Anyway, I’m a bit nervous at taking this huge step (I am, he is not). But honestly, if you could see how excited and happy hubby is about this potential trip, its totally worth it. I know how strong a pull, and what a huge part of him the CDing is, even if I don’t quite “get it”, but man it feels good to make him happy and know that he can be who he is.If all goes according to plan and we actually get there we are trying to be in time for the Tuesday meet and greet. I have only really been out with her en femme 24/7 for an entire weekend one other time, but in Provincetown MA, so I did feel a level of comfort there. You all seem like a great bunch of gals, so that is putting me at ease a bit. Thanks for posting about DLV on the site, and thanks for letting me share!

April Pacific Princess (who I am rooming with at the flamingo $ will be there early enough for the meet and greet Tuesday-my flight arrives around 730 so I’ll go out and bout that night but likely won’t make the meet and greet. Locked and loaded, we are booked! Have our flight and room at Flamingo. Hubby just has to register us on the DLV site. We are both a little nervous, but excited. Hoping to meet some other significant others, as well as some of you love ladies! Big step for me and my Katrina.

Been thinking more and more about attending, but am a bit nervous since I’ve actually never left the house dressed! LOL! Though, every time I dress and do my makeup, I’m getting more and more confident that I look pretty good (not trying to “pass”, just trying to look nicely put together… HA!) and am feeling like I want to go out and be among like-minded, supportive people, so the idea of attending this event (and the corresponding Wildside Sin City Soirée… how cool is that?!) is pretty thrilling. I’m hoping to decide in the next couple of weeks.
Unfortunately I am beginning to have second thoughts. With the Delta variant rampant and not seeming to be peaking but still climbing, travel to do something in a large group indoors mostly feels unwise. And Nevada is on the list of states with high rates of infection and lagging in people getting vaccinated. Add in that Wild Side is now requiring all participants to show proof of vaccination and the announcements about needing a third dose of Pfizer or Moderna eight months after your second, which would be around the middle of December for me, and, well…
How do others feel about this? I really want to go, but common sense keeps jumping up and telling me to wait until the next time, just to be safe. Haven’t cancelled my registration or room yet, but haven’t bought an airline ticket yet, either. And the frugal part of me keeps looking at the rental car rates that are almost triple what I’ve paid in the past in Las Vegas, and it just keeps adding up to make more sense to just say no.

To me life is for living and I’m not spending more time cooped up in isolation as for me anyway that is not living anyway. Just my opinion for me-each has to decide their own risk/reward calculations for themselves. As for me I will be there as long as I am allowed to and it is being held
CynAge and wisdom. At 56 years old I could die tomorrow…. throw the virus in who knows right? But here is my say, the mask WILL NOT stop a virus. Only a bubble suit like CDC wears regardless of bs reports. If I was brave enough I would surely go. If you died next year your bucket list would be close to finished I hope! I might not be that brave yet…. bought my first dress yesterday, but this covid is here to stay and my bucket list is gaining momentum. F.t.free.w.and.live today like your last. My wife and I will be getting in Thursday and staying till Monday. Not sure exactly which events we will be attending, we usually go to the fetish and fantasy ball, but might branch out since divas is going on this year. I’ve never been to a cd only event before so I’m really looking for to it!
Counting the days So excited about my Halloween trip to Las Vegas. Already have reservations at Mandalay Bay and used my M card that had two comp nights on it. It isn’t my first time in Las Vegas as Janine. I spent a New Years Eve there three years ago and had a wonderful time wearing a full length gown that had a slit on the side of it halfway up to my thigh Very girly looking so much that no one suspected that I wasn’t a real girl I’m looking forward to meeting some of you while I’m there I’m going to be in costume as a lady pirate on Halloween night

Way to early to know exactly when I’ll arrive in Las Vegas as I’m going to have to make arrangements with my company to send me that way. It might be the very first time Scarlett comes to a cross dressing event.
I’ve been to Las Vegas four times and know my way around the place pretty darn good.
I get my booster Covid shot the end of September when I come back from a two and half vacation out West of the Mississippi River. This will be my third Covid shot and haven’t had as much as a sniffle yet since Covid hit our shores.
We don’t have to wear masks here in Florida and the only time I put one on is when I’m going to be in close quarters with other people which is a very rare occurrance.
Even if I don’t book in advance, it may be a last minute decision to jump on a plane here in Pensacola and take off on the 26th of October. The weather should be perfect out there that time of year.
I’ll be flying solo and won’t be meeting anyone at the airport. I’ll find out the schedule of events planned for most groups and probably won’t sign up for any of them in advance and will be visiting hotels and casinos and a couple of other safe places where I won’t get held up or a purse snatched!
I’ll keep ya posted the close we get to the Diva Las Vegas event!

I’m interested here is the big BUT.
I’m old, do not have a feminine wardrobe, have NEVER been to an event like this, never had a full makeover (Always dreamed of one). I know no one who is able to help and feel only comfortable with Women/Girls. I do have some clothes ie: Silicone Breast forms and a couple of Bra’s.
I live in Chicago, married (I told her before we were married but she never wanted to hear about it). We are going celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary this month. I have mentioned to her some places to go to—-she tells me I should go on my own.
Anyway, no cute clothes, no Girly friends, all I have left is a Dream.

I would absolutely love to be going, but with recent events, I will not be able to attend. I certainly have been planning on going to an event over the past year.
I will attend the Keystone Conference, if it goes off in March. It is a lot closer and would be easier. If anyone has news on this please let me know.

This would be so amazing to attend and see a few of you there. I’ve been very interested in participating in an “event” for crossdressing, but just haven’t done so! I like the casualness of this event it seems, where it’s more of a “show up if ya can and hang out” type feel.
I can’t commit to the date just yet, but hopefully it would be okay to just “show up” in Vegas one of the days and try to reach out to ya’ll who are there to catch up!
I would love to attend at some point. What hotel do you ladies stay at? Vegas is one of my favorite places to go. I can only imagine how fun it would be with a group.

Due to choosing things late, we ate “wait listed” for dinner at Cesar’s(Carmines).
We are going to go to the RuPaul show, and we are hoping to go to Pirhana(nightclub) also.
