I’m sure this has been brought up many times before and I apologize for being too lazy to look it up.

I bought my first wig online–a Tousled Bob by Hairdo.  Its new.  It seems so messy and frizzled.  Can I brush it?  I don’t want to ruin it, but it seems so messed up! Any advice is welcomed.

key with a synthetic or any wig for that matter is to start brushing with a wig brush from the bottom up.  Take about 2 inches and brush around then the next 2 inches and so tell you can go from the top to the bottom of the wig in one stroke.  As Carolyne said do not get aggressive with the brushing and break or pull the hairs out.  Proper wash and condition does help on some wigs.

I’m quite new but I been using a pixey comb and with a large wide space tooth comb. I gently feather it until comb out. Seams to work, it prevents pulling which isnt good for wigs. Easy strokes and you’ll be fine .🌹

Use a wig comb and gently comb it out. There are also special brushes, shampoos and conditioners you will want specially designed for synthetic wigs. Be VERY patient when you comb it out and don’t pull or get aggressive with it. Good luck!
