Looking good, Michelle, great find at the thrift store.
We have a quite a few things in common: being in our 8th decade on the planet, wanting to dress in girls clothes all along, doing our best to repress by doing male things (in my case it was football), the military (Army), marriage and family, and several purges along the way. And I do enjoy the same list of activities. Gosh, we might be sisters!!!
Maybe separated at birth:)
Looking great, Michelle. Let me tell you that false eyelashes have been the most difficult makeup technique for me to master — by far! I’ve used them many times and I still find it difficult to get them just right. For me, they’re essential for getting my eyes to look feminine. But it isn’t easy. Keep at it and you will get better, and don’t get discouraged if you find that it’s a steeper learning curve than other makeup techniques. In my opinion they’re worth it.
Thanks Angela. I know I really need the lashes so I will put in the time to learn how to apply them but my practice time is very limited so it will take a while. But like you say worth it.
You look great, Michelle. Love the dress – major score at Goodwill. Really good job on the makeup. And don’t feel bad – it took me almost a year to master false eyelashes – they are devilish little things.
Thanks Mona. I have you to thank for the idea and I have 3 more nice dresses that I haven’t had an opportunity to wear yet from that same shopping trip.
Fake lashes are a pain in a bad place! I’d recommend the magnetic lashes (they have an special eyeliner where they stick to). A lot easier! But… removing that eyeliner is not easy…
Thanks for the advice. Lorraine suggested that to me earlier but my MUA gave me a couple of pairs of natural hair lashes to try so that’s where I started. I will give the magnetic ones a try after I’m done trashing these. I am worried about removing the eyeliner though. I’m using a clear glue on these so that’s not a problem.
Looking good, Michelle! You have made some great choices on dresses.
I gave up a long time ago with false eye-lashes, too difficult to apply, and
they bump into my glasses.
A great score Michelle and I can’t even think of the eyelash part since I’ve never gone there.
Thank you Sherri. I think they really help my look when applied correctly but not an easy feat for sure.
Thank you Jennifer!
You look fabulous Michelle, I love the dress too X

Thanks Rozalyn. You are very kind.
Looking great.
Thanks Patty!
