Good call on getting ankle straps for your first heels. I find it really helps your confidence in walking in them. If they have no straps then they have to fit like a glove to stay on your feet.
Oh, dear. I hadn’t even thought about the straps vs no straps issue. I just got this pair because I thought they looked great and we’re on sale! I guess I should master walking in these before I try any without ankle straps.

I’ve ordered a half size smaller to compare, but they didn’t have the glittery silver ones in that size and I couldn’t decide on which other color, so I ordered two pairs… a black pair and a regular silver pair. 🙂

I was at a salvage store that had a ton of clothing items and was really nervous browsing in the women’s section. I will never forget my first heels, I was looking for mens shoes when I spied a pair of high heel sandals on the sales rack, only 1/2 size to small! had to have. When I got in my car I could not get the NEW HEELS on fast enough. This was only the start of my shoe fetish.
